Cult of Luna - The Long Road North

3 excellent albums in a row. Definitely one of the best metal bands of the last 2 decades.

Truly very soothing like Seals & Crofts! Once again Ross shows he can do it all and well!

I haven't listened to this as much as the other Acts yet, but I think Act V is my favorite album from The Dear Hunter. Very consistent, and just a lot of fun to listen to.

Shout-out to twosuitsluke for introducing me to this band by sending them in my roulette! These guys are simply amazing.

Wow! Not sure I ever expected to see a Midnight Oil album listed here. Classic.

Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Ten - Here Be Monsters

What's the Ten like?

I enjoyed it. It’s not Name Of The Rose or Spellbound but their best for a long time. I n3ver really gave thei4 last couple much of a go though.

Cool to hear, I'll check it out.  I've actually really enjoyed most of their later albums quite a bit.

Oh shit... it's a new release.  I'll have a listen - but if you've heard one Ten album, you've most of them.  I can't say I've ever disliked anything by them, but there's very little that's memorable or distinguishable.

Yup, that was definitely a Ten album.  Enjoyed everything about it; didn't remember a single second of it when I was finished.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

How's this holding up for you after a month or so? I still think it's pretty great. In fact, it did grow on me the more I listened. Didn't hit me quite as hard as Waves, but a super follow-up nonetheless.

While no song is as good or catchy as Lead Wings, on the whole, I prefer this over Waves. I find it a tad heavier and a bit more upbeat. Mind you, I'm not calling it heavy or upbeat.. just more  :lol

I’ve listened to this a few times. I like it too but I find a few of the songs wear out their welcome as they're just too long.

I cut out a lot of the short interlude tracks and made like a 55 minute version. Works much better that way. It is a chore to get through in one go, but musically, I really like it.

55 mins would certainly make it more digestible. :tup

Nice

It was probably the first time in 15 years I listened to that album and I forgot how many lines about Easy-E where in there :lol

This morning I'm spinning Mutemath's Odd Soul and it kinda sucks. I just don't think I'm a fan of Mutemath aside from a few select songs.
