I think you know what I mean Tim  ;)   Plenty of albums I owned that were released through some tinpot label with maybe 500/1000 copies worldwide (and went for huge $)  later got released with bonus tracks through Frontiers or whoever and ended up for sale on Discogs for $5.   No longer a collectors item in my eyes ,unless you are talking about collectible versions of albums.  I was more referrring to albums that you had to pay big bucks just to hear them , then later became more generally available through re-issues- the bonus tracks were just to piss me off even more. :lol

Should've sold 'em all back then   :\

I checked them out after your top 50 or a podcast and enjoyed them.

Overlooked melodic metal.

If I saw this album cover in a record store, I'd keep on browsing. No wonder it's overlooked. :lol

I mean, the only people that have probably ever heard this are Glen's parents....and Glasser!

 :lol

Believe it or not, I actually remember seeing a very good review of their first album (Materialized) in a magazine back in 1993, when it came out (not that its cover is much better than the other  ;)). I looked for it then, and I was never able to find a copy. Maybe I should start digging again! Glasser: is it worth it? I kind of remember they were some sort of German version of Queensryche?

Yeah the cover is awful but the music is very cool. Definitely Queensryche style.

Started off this week with the A Change Of Seasons Era. The Long Island show sounds amazing BTW.

I went to the show in Providence. I didn't tape it because I actually got caught with my recorder. I was fumbling with it in a stall in the bathroom, and security heard it. They stopped me and confiscated my batteries. I was so pissed.
Thankfully someone was there that taped it though, but they must've been standing next someone that was making the most horrible sound through the entire show. Like a dying animal.
I took a friend of mine to see the show, and after the show, he told me I ruined him for all future concerts. DT was awesome!
My biggest gripe about these shows, and I distinctly remember thinking it was that I didn't know why they played Voices again but not Scarred. I was like, they played Voices on the Awake tour.

When did Dream Theater start getting aggressive with the rotating setlists? Seems like things were pretty static back then (as they are now).

Gallowglass Scourge. Labelled Melodic Death Metal. Emphasis on Melodic.

@Kade, you might dig this. Nice guitar harmonies.

Having a listen to this now.  It's kind of easy listening, not bad.  Reminds me of your band Euphoreon.  A bit low budget on the production side but very pleasant.  Some very nice melodies.

A simple 'Thank you, Tim' in regards to your Providence memories.  There was an individual (I've lost his name since) that did grade A+ audience recordings from that venue, the best ever Queen '78 show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkNJeZrHriA&t=10s. (my favorite all time concert was three days earlier in Kalamazoo)

Hell, this is the best ever Queen audience recording ever!  I wonder if you guys bumped heads (or cassette decks) at a show

Curious....how did you ruin future concerts for your friend?
...going along with Dragon Attack's Queen thread has been like taking a free class in Queen knowledge. Where else are you gonna find info like that?!

Pink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse Of Reason - 2019 Remix

This remix has such an uncanny feel to me, I really don't care for it. I've listening to the original Momentary Lapse album my whole life and with this remix it feels like someone came into my house and rearranged everything.

Edit: Terminal Frost sounds absolutely terrible.

My friend said that no band could top performance wise what he had just witnessed.

There's lots of good Queen boots from the Boston/Providence area. I have the 76 Boston show burned to a CD. No, I never rubbed elbows with Paul Fernandes, definitely don't know him. I was 10 in 1978.

"A Conversation With Alice" is killer.   I'm not sure how it's referenced in the marketplace, but PBS ran a live set from him not long ago with some of these songs.  It was amazing.  He is so good.

It was interesting, because we watched "To Tell The Truth" and he was on as a "Blues Musician" and I switched from him on TTTT, in a hoodie and hat and glasses, to him on stage in his stage clothes and my wife had to laugh.
