Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Awesome. Yeah definitely thrash in there. I really dig this album. The flag is massive too. 3 feet tall 6 wide.

That is one cool piece  :tup

Very cool old school sounding stuff. Reminds of Possessed and Whiplash. Dig the vocalists delivery.

Finished my week of I&W live era shows. Amazing to relive these shows. What a magical time of music discovery.

I taped the Boston show, and if anyone has a copy, I'm slobbering all the way through it. :lol

The 3-4-93 Official Boot is a must have and to me, it's the Holy Grail of DT live albums.

Khirki - Κτηνωδία

Trio from Greece. This is from 2021, discovered at the very end of the year. Very cool album, imo. It's a strange mix of heavy rock and some folk influences (not a ton, mostly in vocal and guitar melodies here and there). It's actually pretty immediate, and yet I wouldn't exactly know who to compare them to. Some songs, especially at the beginning, are shorter and more urgent (e.g. the opener Deadpan, with a super-cool instrumental section, or Raging Bull). Others have more of a slow build (e.g. Medea, with great percussion work and a little more "folky", or Wolf's Lament). Overall, I'm loving the album and I keep coming back to it!

I think I can agree with this statement. A dream setlist from that era (which happens to be my favorite DT era  ;D)

This album has some cool artwork too!

2022. Listed as Post Black Metal, whatever the hell that is. Musically, it's pretty nice. Not sure if I love it, but enjoyed it for the most part.

I have not.  If it is death metal though, I will take a hard pass. :)

Glasser, last year I did a UFO Discography And Listening Party Thread, but I also included the Michael Schenker Discography along with it (and Waysted too!).

https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=55669.msg2696232#msg2696232

I covered all of the Schenker albums, so you might want to go through that thread. Feel free to update the thread as you go through the Schenker albums. We'll all join in on the discussion!

I will say that Michael Schenker is, along with Gary Moore, my all time favorite guitarist. He has never presented himself as a guitar hero, and because of that, his discography is filled with landmines. Other than his early classic stuff, his collaboration with Doogie White was outstanding. But he's surrounded himself with some subpar partners throughout his career. Still, his playing is undeniable.

Nice find! Checked out a few tunes and this seems well done. Nice riffs and acoustic breakdowns. 4 bucks on Bandcamp! Its a one man project so I'll give this guy $15 bucks. I love supporting the artists, especially indies.

70's Live Albums today!

And yes, I know that the Ozzy isn't a 70's album, but in lieu of no Sabbath live alum, I went with Speak Of the Devil instead.

That Aerosmith album is a must if you like them. It's a BCN radio broadcast and rowdy as hell. It doesn't have the finish of a well produced (quotation fingers)live album.

It's not an official release. It's a radio broadcast. It's definitely not live album quality, but that's what I like about it. It's like a real good sounding bootleg. I bought it on Amazon years ago.
