i really tried with this one but i genuinely don't see what's so special about it... the dream pop elements are only on a handful of tracks anyways and the vocals are... bad,

I wouldn't say there's anything particularly special about it. My thoughts have gone from 'this isn't as good as Time & Space' to 'actually, I'm starting to like this a bit more'.

I like a good hardcore breakdown now and then, and have no problem with the vocals. It won't make my top 10 of the year but may make the top 20.

Soften the Glare - this was a great find today! It's instrumental rock/jazz/funk/fusion (just to name a few). It features the bassist from Mudvayne and the guitarist from Gongzilla/Gong. I did NOT expect what I heard considering the musicians involved. There's some great melodies and grooves and then some completely crazy pieces/sections. It's stellar musicianship all the away through and provides a fun ride!

It’s no5 for everyone and I don’t like it as much as I did at the time. There is some good stuff hidden amongst the Disney soundtrack but you have to dig.
