I'll be over in 20 minutes with beer and pizza.  I'm not familiar with the Magnum, but the rest is a quality playlist.

Come on over! 😁

Magnum are sort of like a British Styx or Kansas without the violin. Pomp rock I think it used to be called. This, storytellers night or Wings of Heaven are their best.

Love this album so much. in the "classic" first 7 album run, this and Seventh Son are the ones I go back to the most (although The Number of the Beast is probably my overall favorite)

How is it possible they haven't played Caught Somewhere in Time live again after the tour for this album? And Sea of Madness? Loneliness?

Incidentally, for the drummers in the Forum...how exactly do you go about playing Caught...with a single kick? I've always wondered. That's some serious gallop for one foot  ;D

The real crime is they’ve never played Alexander the Great live.

But anyway I heard the band is not a big fan of the album, that’s probably why they don’t play much from it.

Went back a handful of years for today's listening..

The Seven Sisters is awesome. It is basically what you get when you mix Iron Maiden's and Def Leppard's debuts.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Sounds very promising - I'll have to check it out!

Lör's album is very cool and different. Their EP (?) from last year, Edge of Eternity, is great too.

Not sure if I’ve ever heard anything else by them, but HEY WHAT is a great album. Excellent noisy production and it has some really catchy vocal melodies.

Same here. I listened to it SO much the year it came out. I might like it even more than El Cielo.

Actually is was in response to...

gotta be honest i can't even make out half the lyrics but also it's supposedly a story about an outlaw killing his entire family so idk if swearing should be the biggest concern

BUT....

I actually did see Mr. Bungle twice on their first tour, and yes,  :lol:facepalm:, and WTF all would apply.

I first saw them in the fall of '91. I took my college roommate (we grad in 1990) (he lived in NJ but came up for the show) for his birthday because he wanted to go. i thought..ok, singer from FNM..how bad could it be? Holy shit! that was NOT what I was expecting. :lol
Anyway, they came back to Boston like 6 months later and I took another buddy of mine. He loved it and bought the album. What a fucked up show!

I’m sure they are an interesting live show. Was the audience holding up their lighters when they played “My Ass is on Fire”?  :lol :lol :lol

That was literally 20 years ago. I have no idea! :lol

I bought a shirt at the show, and it's one of the handful of concert t's that I still actually have.

About halfway through and it's probably the weakest AB album.

Catching up on some new releases.

Pretty pleasantly surprised with all of them. New Andrew WK may be his best album since I Get Wet. New Thrice was alright, the closer stood out so need to spin that again. Carcass and MONO were both top 20 contenders and Eidola is kinda what I expected, but it does it well.

new thrice made me so sad kensrue's voice is SHOT across the entire thing and he sounds so bad I could barely pay attention to the music

Eidola was fine but hasn't really stuck with me at all

Never heard of these before but really enjoying this.  Singer has a very unusual distinctive style.  Sort of symphonic metal but not that symphonic, lots of industrial/techno elements.  Quite cinematic and sci-fi influenced.  I’m probably making it sound more interesting than it is but it’s pretty cool once you get used to the the girls voice.
