My two favorite Death albums. I just felt like revisiting them both. Everything considered, Symbolic might have a slight edge for me - literally every song has wow moments all over, and the combination of aggression and melody is just too good. Individual Thought Patterns, though...man oh man, that lineup. Andy LaRocque's solos are SO tasty. I think it suffers a bit from being in between Human and Symbolic and the production/mixing is a bit weird, but it's hard to argue with the songs and the playing.

Amazing! Human is up there as well. But I agree on Symbolic. It has Chuck's best writing, the outro of Perennial Quest gives me chills. Seeing them was a treat and a privilege to have one on one time with Chuck in NY after they're soundcheck, he was a truly kind person.  :heart  :metal

Went back to this today. This album is phenomenal.  75 minutes is a lot to chew on, but damn...there's a lot to chew on. This is filled with epic after epic.

TAC, I highly recommend this album! Mortyfear - My Dystopia. Very quirky yet incredibly well done! So haunting.

I may check that out.  I didn't care for this one very much.  It didn't suck or anything, it just didn't grab me.
