Imagine that, for some reason, you could build a progressive rock/metal super group. Anyone from Geddy Lee to David Gilmour could be in it. Now imagine that, again for some reason, whatever 2 to 6 guys (or gals) you'd pick, they would be forced to make a record together, without a concern for time or money. I think about this a lot, the kind of combinations of people I think would work really well together, and just as much about the combinations that would end in complete chaos and mayhem.
Anyway, I've really been enjoying many of the things you guys write here. Without a doubt, there are very musical minds at work here. This is why I am particularly interested in who you would combine and especially why them. Also, what kind of album would you expect them to make.
Me personally, I'd lock Gavin Harrison, Conner Green, Adam Holzman and Guthrie Govan in a studio under the supervision and total dictatorship-like control of Donald Fagen. Anything they would come up with would probably blow my mind.
