QotMS was one of the highlights of the show.

Random thought...what the heck kind of name is that for a song?  How does one pronounce that?  Kot-mms??

QotMS = Queen of the Murder Scene

They're just not so polished live. Such a tight band.

They debuted 2 new songs at their show today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNFmm3z7tZM - Sick

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNgjui3YO30 - Hell You Call a Dream. Dany is really going for it on this one hitting some of the highest notes I've heard from her.

People concerned with their musical direction with More should be happy with these.

yeah both are good, HYCAD is great. Dani really extends herself on that 1.

New album has me pretty intrigued. I can say, from my co-worker Patreon-contributor, all of the guitars are done on the new album. Vocals, bass and drums?..not likely yet. But there likely will be a new album coming in 2024, maybe even in the 1st half.

Diggin' both of those. I didn't listen all the way, as I want to be surprised. But I heard enough of both to be really impressed. Looking forward to a new record. I introduced my daughter and wife to them, and both love the band. My daughter is a hardcore fan now. Can't wait for a new record.  :metal

I wish they would tell us if there is an album coming or just a string of singles. Either way, more music from them is always welcome.

They did a live stream before the music video dropped and Pau had to stop herself from saying it's the 2nd song off the new album. So I think one is coming but just not officially announced yet.

They posted a pic on Instagram with Michael Starr and said how unbelievable it was to meet him and rock out on stage together. I would love to see them with Steel Panther. Had to be quite the scene.

S!CK is yet another winner from these chicks.  What a cool video.

Does anyone know what that musical "thing" is called at 2:40?  They do one normal chorus (2:28) but the second one right after something is different and it makes the sound even thicker and heavier.  I think the bass plays a lower note that's "off" but still works.  I've also heard this thing in other songs as well and I love it when bands do it but it's not very common.

Hmm yeah, there is a little difference on that chorus. It might have another instrument giving some extra flair, maybe keyboard or a second guitar. Nice find!

There's something similar, and maybe more clear, at 6:50 of At Wit's End where JM plays a "wrong" note.  If you start at 5:55 to get the feel of the melody and structure and then hear the 6:50 note it hits pretty hard.

I just found another example at 3:18 of Halestorm's "Tell Me Where It Hurts" if you start from 2:58 to get the feel first.

Is there a musical term for this?

Also, I'm just totally blown away by The Warning's stage presence.  They perform like they've been touring for 20 years and their sound is so huge for just 3 people.  It really adds so much to the experience when the artists look like they're enjoying being there.

I love the artwork. It brings to mind the concept of how artists are beholden to the record label and executives.

Just pre-ordered my daughter a shirt/CD combo, and CDs for my wife and I, at their label website. Should be cool.

Both new songs are great, with some different feels than older material. Need a couple more listens to form thoughts. These girls can't write a bad song.

I just picked up their discography.

They write some really catchy hooks and melodies.  I really like "When I'm Alone".

It blows me away that they write and perform like seasoned veteran rockers that have been doing this for 25 years.

Dany is a great frontman and Pau is doing a great MP performance back there and Ale is amazing.

The fact that they have such a huge sound with just the three of them is crazy also.

The Warning is my new Halestorm but I've soured on them big time ever since Into the Wild Life and have been taking an extended break from them but I just went back to their early stuff and it's so much cooler than the new stuff.

The most amazing part of that live performance is they all had the flu.

As much as I love all the content they release for free they really need to release an official live album at some point. I would buy a cd/blu ray in a heartbeat.
