12 days after I mailed mine, USPS tracking FINALLY updated where the hell the damn thing is. THERE IS HOPE.

Funny, after my last post I went to check my packages to confirm everything was here since there were multiple shipments.  And everything IS here but one of the trackings says it's still out for delivery 

I think with the pandemic, weather issues, and the mass amount of online ordering this season, the mail system is really struggling.  Amazon hasn't been able to ship things next day for awhile for me.

I tracked the package I sent to my SS recipient on 12/7.......all it says is '12/12....in Transit'      There are two more steps in the flow chart.....out for delivery....and delivered. I mailed that thing almost two weeks ago.

I don't like giving specifics to mailing and delivery to help keep things more secret for the recipient if they go through the trouble of trying to not see/read addresses and such when the package arrive, but I will say what I sent out also had a delay on it. It may or may not have since been delivered.

Covid will affect the shipping guys.  Less people at work and more people ordering online rather than going shopping.

For 12 days it said the USPS didn't have the package yet, just that a label existed. Seriously, just scan the barcode so even if it takes 3 weeks I know it is at least in your possession.

Same thing happened to me with an amazon package I ordered. Said label made for over a week and nothing else. I was shocked a few days ago when it changed to shipped. Was supposed to be here over a week ago and it should theoretically be here tomorrow.

It's all good though. They're slammed to all hell and I can be patient.

You guys and people I know on Facebook are all saying "Where's my package. What the hell (insert package delivery service)."

Usually, it's The USPS or FedEx. Haven't heard much about UPS and I have ordered so much this past year through the mail that I don't even bother with tracking unless it's more than a week from the said delivery date. Most just say "should be delivered by this time."

I ordered some Bears gear , and they gave the notice that Covid is affecting shipping orders with FedEx. And to expect shipping delays. Which it actually came within a week, surprisingly.

My only issue is with the tracking. I know everything is behind. I get this. But seriously, not scanning the bar code is dumb because that's literally part of the process. If it sits waiting for a carrier, at least there's record of where it's sitting. If it's in transit on a truck and stuck in a snowstorm, at least there's record of it being put on the truck. Or at least, that's the general idea. UPS usually had it down to a science. FedEx is really hit or miss. But the USPS regularly, at least in my area, fails to scan barcodes so it looks as if they never actually picked up what I shipped. If it was picked up and scanned and went to my local depot and sat there, at least I'd know it was sitting there. When I inquired after over a week, all the USPS did was tell me "according to tracking we are still waiting on your package." No shit, Sherlock, THAT'S WHY I INQUIRED.

I've had packages I've ordered run the gamut of next day delivery to taking a week longer than promised. It is what it is, but what is the point of even offering tracking if it is unusable.

EDIT: We are diverging from the point of this thread. Back on the rails we go: I'll video when I get my gift but I will not be the one to pop the 2020 SS Cherry.

And I think I spoke/wrote too soon.  Not likely gonna happen tonight - jingle.daughter and mrs.jingle had to run a few errands, and jingle.son is finishing his last school project due at 6pm tomorrow. Everyone is integral - it's a jingle.family affair.  More realistic goal is tomorrow night.

Especially since I was like 14 when it came out.

My parents were pretty strick growing up about watching R rated movies.  They would have probably turned that one off once they realized where that was going.  I really like that movie though, very creepy.

     I appreciate that. Feeling 100 times better today. that's two days in a row of relatively no major symptoms so fingers crossed a corner has been turned. My wife seems to be about a day behind what my symptoms were/are so here's to hoping she's past the rough stuff as well.

Yay!  Videos!  Thank you Jackie and Zorg for popping this cherry, and to Gary for being a trooper and posting while sick.  At least you don’t look or sound sick, and I wish you a continued recovery.  My sister and her family got it and it seemed to be pretty mild for them, but I also know it hammered my step-sisters family.

And to answer Gary’s question, when you love something, you always find more.  It explains why my hot sauce taste list is approaching 1000, and my board game collection is pushing 350 not counting expansions.
