Any surprises?I’m a big Rush fan and I only casually like a few of the bands you mentioned. You are you, one person.I am many, and I am all.

Moe, Larry and Curly. They knew how to rock.
Winger would be better!
...going along with Dragon Attack's Queen thread has been like taking a free class in Queen knowledge. Where else are you gonna find info like that?!
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now?

Well, yes, Rush over VH any day really.
Quote from: HOF on October 18, 2020, 06:31:30 PMWell, yes, Rush over VH any day really. For me too. But they're vastly different to be compared.
I would say because both bands are very musical and wrote great songs.

From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

In one facebook group of Van Halen fans there was a question: "Name 3 bands you couldn't live without" and 46 out of 320 people named Rush in the comments. Rush got more mentions than i.e. Iron Maiden (only 18) and Black Sabbath (33). Isn't it surprising? The most mentioned band after VH is Zeppelin (75). Also KISS got 46 votes and AC/DC 45.

Josh Baskins.
they're both similar, also they were/are popular at the right time and they entertain people.
Quote from: Elite on October 16, 2020, 03:35:34 PMthey're both similar, also they were/are popular at the right time and they entertain people. Here's the thing, though. They're not both similar. Only one of them is similar. The other is different. That depends on whom you ask, though. Some people say one of them is different, but the other is similar. So it depends. I agree that they were/are popular at the right time and they entertain people. That's how I would explain the big overlap between Rush and Van Halen fans.
Josh Baskin. I snuck an "s" in there by mistake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ERuhks3GNk
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Van Halen entertain people, Rush don't, because they are too serious. Van Halen just can't be serious since David Lee Roth is one of the biggest clowns in rock history.
Just popping in to say Luke, you were right.
