First toilet paper hoarding.  Now this.

What could possibly go wrong?

[edit] Looks like I fell for an old photo.  But I swear I saw cell phone footage of a woman trying unsuccessfully to fill a plastic bag with gasoline on Twitter today.

I'm no science guy, but I think gasoline is going to dissolve that plastic sooner as opposed to later. Besides, why not just put it in a trashcan?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ccAx792uoI

LoL - I haven't seen C&C in a very long time.  It still holds up.

And I think you're right about the science of gasoline and plastic.  Someone told me it was probably urine anyway.  I'm not sure that is much better (in the smarts department) but likely less flammable!

Why would anyone need THAT much urine, and where did they get it?    That's the drug-testing of an entire football team for an entire year!  :) :) :)

There was a good clip on Ridiculousness of a woman trying to fill a plastic bag - the small ones, like you get at Wal-mart to carry your ice cream out to the car - with gasoline.  Hilarity (and a reportable spill) ensued!  I'm hearing a lot about this shortage - my stepdaughter in North Carolina experienced some of it - but it hasn't crept up here to the northeast yet.  Prices are a shade higher, but that's it.

Prices here had already been creeping up for a few weeks. I haven't seen any specific issues because of the pipeline yet, but that may well change. All it takes is rumors of a shortage to actually create a massive one. We saw that here a couple of years ago.

The only possible other solution that drug screening is that some people use human urine in their gardens to ward off ?deer? ?rabbits? (not sure) from eating their plants.

The cluster fuck about all of these photos and videos suggesting people are trying to fill plastic bags was - not surprisingly - because some local government agency posted that video clip (originally from 2017 or 2019 I think) and tell people NOT to do that.  So of course now everyone is thinking it is happening right now.

I love the marathon one.

As it's so accurate

" I've done 12 marathons "

ok.

Eddie Izzard has done like 50 marathons or whatever.  And never stops banging on about it.

EDIT : I checked The Wiki and Eddie ran 31 marathons in January - 1 a day and raised £275,000. Which he could have just donated himself and not run 31 Marathons.

Is it me or is that a comically low figure for something so strenuous and difficult ?

To each their own (I have two close friends that run marathons rather frequently) but to me that's torture.  My last "road race" was a 5K back like 30 years ago, and that's enough for me.  Even when I was in the best shape of my life, "running" was never a high point of the workout routine.
