They legit need to do a film together - the three of them - but make absolutely ZERO references to Home Alone AT ALL. ***

Also what are we on now - Home Alone 6 ?

** I always thought it would be funny/cool if the TNG bridge crew actors all did a film together and they meticulously made sure there were ZERO references to Star Trek in the whole film.

Would be funny.

That's the trouble with memes.

You see it constantly for several days and by then you're already fed up with it.

But after the 275th bernie in a place - its just another picture of bernie in a place.

Some memes are classic and are still funny years later but they need to at least be funny to begin with.

Dude, just roll with it. The internet and its customs are always evolving. At one point, we all loved music on our Myspace page, and then everyone suddenly started hating it. Rickrolling was a thing for a time. Autotuning the the news was a thing for a while. Remember the planking craze and rampant pyramid scheme phase? That rapid creation and distribution of memes is a new concept for the world as a whole, and the norms of how we make and share such content has never been defined, nor should it. There is clearly a large number of people that like the having memes come and go with the force of a thousand suns rather than just recycling the "classics".

Personally, I love the current meme life cycle. The only thing that made the ending of Game of Thrones semi-bearable was the meme machine.

I tend to agree with you, Chino.  There's always that segment of the population, though, that is a couple steps behind the curve and therefore seemingly don't know when to quit.   There's a shelf-life, a freshness date to some of this stuff.

Just to add a bit more, I kind of love seeing how the current memes get used across all the stuff I'm interested in. Despite all being Bernie, they still provide a good laugh because of the completely non-related context. There's almost an art to it. It's almost like a worldwide competition of who can be the most creative with the meme flavor of the week.

This is going to be me tomorrow (though I'm expecting a 16 hour cook at least):

I do have to admit though, I think this Bernie meme might be hottest one yet. I don't think I've ever seen such global participation and rallying behind a particular image. This might top the gold/blue dress. I like the guy's spirit though. When asked about him being used in this meme, he said something about how he was glad it got exposure for the quality gloves that are made in his home state of Vermont.

That's what happens when the Jester is gone...

So they're left with finding a new Jester, a new face to make fun of...and what to make fun of with them. It's why they didn't have anything else to talk about and make fun of besides what they wore and how they reacted. Could've been anyone, as long as the media captured someone doing something....(Milhouse: "Look! He's picking his nose)

I give it till this weekend, or when the impeachment hearings start.

Theres a word for that...it's called Trends. And Social Media is loaded with these. Also, almost forgot about the Challenges. Now tell me people are not gullible to follow and do what someone else does, just because they said challenge.

Like those people eating Tide Pods.

I see Memes as a form of Instant Comedy and Instant Gratification.

And us Natives had a ball with old man Bernie, making fun of him by putting on Pendleton Blankets and making fun of it in our own way. Related to our culture. And I find those ones funny, because I can relate. I even made a response joke, about Debbie Haaland giving him her Shawl. That was before people started actually putting those ideas into action. I wish people would put that effort into something, more useful.

But eh, it serves it's purpose and just ignore it, do something else and it'll go away.

Personally I think a good deal of people are fucking starved for the levity after the tension of the recent weeks. We needed Bernie and again, without even trying, he delivered.

Exactly.  I've seen some really, really dumb Bernie memes, ones that don't make a damned lick of sense, and I still chuckle.  Some silly, dumb fun never hurt nobody.

Me not being on social media and thus not having to see that meme. If I wasn't on this forum I never would have seen it at all.
