Spare a thought today.

Oh the things we'd find in towels when I ran a hotel. My favorite was a loaded gun, 2nd place was a fairly substantial amount of cocaine.

One time on a shift at a hotel I ran we found a sealed copy of a box set of Black Clouds and Silver Linings

One of the funniest things I've ever seen was in The Office when Michael Scott wants to have a party in his hotel room and he brings a black light.  The entire scene there's this huge "splat!" over the headboard of the bed.  Hilarious.

Some nights more than others, but yep.   I try to be considerate, but there are often... complications.

Ha that ALF one!

That texting Annie one escaped me. Figured it out with a little online snooping.

I can't even figure out how to research this one.  All I see is a person who looks like Michael Jackson, and I don't know who Annie is.

I didn't know it until last night, but apparently "Annie are you alright" is pretty much the only lyric in the entire song Smooth Criminal.

Thank you!

I've heard of the song, but that's about it.  At least I got the Michael Jackson part right.

I looked up "is Annie okay" and found the answer. I thought their might be a Michael Jackson angle, but while I have heard that song multiple times, mostly unintentionally, I often do not know what he is saying and thus any lyrical references are going to be lost on me.

:lol song had a revival by the Alien Ant Farm cover in the early 2000s.  I think I heard that version before the MJ original.

Great batch :lol

Well, I hope Annie is okay.  She seems like a nice person, and I wouldn't want anything to happen to her.

Some band did a cover of the song about 15 years ago, and I discovered the MJ song that way.  It's one of the few things that he did that I like.

I mean...she was struck by a smooth criminal.  While I suppose that's better than being struck by a rough or bristly criminal, it still can't have been good.  That said, it happened more than four decades ago, so I have to assume she's ok now (although my understanding is that "Annie" was actually a CPR dummy).

Sadly, I do not believe is okay. She was, reportedly hit by, she was...struck by....a smooth criminal.

Well, shit.  I looked up the lyrics.  He left bloodstains on the carpet, and she doesn't respond to repeated queries as to her wellbeing.  Doesn't sound too good for Annie.

Oh well.  I didn't really like her, really.

Not the first thing we (and others) immediately thought of when seeing this on NASA's Fbook page   :lol

"The Hybrid Air Vehicles Airlander 10, initially known as the HAV 304, is a hybrid airship crafted by the British company Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV). This unique aircraft features a helium airship structure along with supplementary wing and tail components. It utilizes a combination of aerostatic and aerodynamic lift principles for flight and is driven by four ducted propellers powered by diesel engines."
