Pretty fun and radio-friendly, I like itFour very solid pop rock tracks with a bit of alt rock mixed in. The standount might be Lift, it has a very cool chorus, with lots of energy. I don't have much to say, this sort of music ain't usually my cup of tea but it's always a pleasant listen.
I guess you wonder why I haven't given this a higher score despite my good impressions, and the reson is simple - a 4 and upwards means I really want to go listen to an album by the artist submitted. And while I dig these tracks, I feel no rush to go back to them nor check them out further. I'm just not much into this sort of music these days.

One of these is a dud but the rest are bangersQuite an interesting selection here: a very energic garage rock infused with crazy psychedelic vibes on Robot Stop, an ok at best thrash / stoner metal tune called Planet B, then Slow Jam 1 being a very chill and cool tune, almost reminiscent of Tame Impala. And closing with Am I In Heaven, another great, noisy 7 mins of psychedelia and garage rock. Ok Planet B isn't that bad, the more stoner bits are pretty cool but man I just don't really like thrash for the most part - sure I dig some Megadeth tunes but that's about it.
Wished the mastering wasn't so loud, you can barely distinguish instruments and not in a very pleasing way. Planet B aside, these are some very solid tracks all the way through.

Definitely expected something different from their name but I ain't madYeah I guess I was expecting some pop music but seems I'm getting some interesting art rock. Janet starts pretty calm then explodes into a nice section with pianos, guitars, intense drumming, and vocals that are just about to go post-hardcore. Machines is what happens when the local circus is around - sorta reminds me of Diablo Swin Orchestra but gone indie. Plague 11 follows similar but not as silly, and for some reason feels a bit more chaotic. Innocent 1 I like how it goes from mood to mood, although I'm not big into any of them in particular. I think Innocent 2 might be my favorite track here as it's the least chaotic for the most part, it's got an excellent buildup and climax, I love the ending. Hate feels like a mix of everything else, chaos included - I like when it gets a little dissonant with the strings near the end.
These tracks make me think of a sort of hybrid between Mr Bungle and Diablo Swing Orchestra with some post-hardcore and indie rock in the mix. I can totally see why you'd love this as I'm sure folks more into those bands will dig them. I personally didn't find many particularly memorable melodies and I have a bit of a hard time recalling these tracks apart from Innocent 2. Long writeup but only cuz you sent me 6 songs damnit

Not sure it's got enough substanceI really like that you're sending me something a little different, however this partcular choice didn't pan out that well. The Hidden Camera and Modus Operandi start ok but they kind of repeat a neat beat, with a subtle bass over it, and spacey synths or a mysterious piano, but there's not a lot of variety in terms of composition - sort of reminds me of what I've heard of squarepusher. Junk on the other hand is a lot more interesting, it's quite a banger and easily the best track here. It's got a pretty cool beat, some vocals interspersed, and I really dig those synths that pop here and there. Quite groovy.
Sadly I have to average these, so while Junk is a 4/5, I'd say The Hidden Camera is 2.5, and Modus Operandi 3.5 at best if it didn't go for so long. I'd be interested in more stuff like Junk tho.

Now this is the kind of stuff I was expecting you to sendThese tracks are a lot more chill than I expected - for some reason I thought you'd send me crazy stuff like Giant Steps. In particular A Love Supreme, which I tried listening a long time ago and wasn't big into it but that was before I got into jazz. Now I'm digging it a lot more - the sax solos, the piano, the drumming, even the bass and the vocals, they're all pretty hypnotizing. Naima is sort of ok, a pleasant 4 mins of pretty chill jazz that doesn't do much but doesn't bother at all either. Equinox feels similar but with a bit more meat to it, there's more energy in general.
Yeah this seems more lined up with what I was expecting from you, I'd be interested in more jazz or other weird stuff you may have.

Ethereal and warm, more on the original side of thingsFour Years and One Day has some looovely synths and the atmosphere is very nice, lots of original sounds here. Blue Train Lines and Marilyn have these guys doing some sort of weird vocals which I kind of dig, and simple but cool beats - again, the atmosphere is wonderful here. You Took Your Time I'm not as big on as the other tracks but it's still very warm and has a cool vibe overall. Although short and a bit unusual, I'm really digging We Go Home.
I like that you're sending me
hipster contemporary music, keep it coming.
