Best/Fave DTF Posts of all-time
« on: August 13, 2020, 10:36:22 AM »
Coming off the heels of a conversation in the 'rona thread, what are some of your favorite, best, most memorable etc... posts of all time?  Let's reminisce a little.

@ RJ... thank you for the reminder of "Was he wearing a Tapout shirt?"

It'd take a while to find them, but there was a mulit-page discussion when someone posted in either 'Post-your-pic' or GD, and they clearly posted shirtless pics of a professional model (male).  Like, dude was basically an underwear model.  I swear I've never laughed so hard on DTF.

Then there was this gem - https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=49547.msg2305574#msg2305574

Of course, Kade in the Queensryche thread is probably my #1; Hef on Janet1234 is top 5, maybe top 3.

What else ya'll remember?

I'm pretty sure there are a handful of posts in Indi's last roulette that would make my list.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

Perhaps I'm biased, but the one in my signature (which was directed at me) is an all-time fave.

Since this is posts and not threads, I guess the Mouse thread is excluded...

Yeah, if we were going to fire of entire threads, we've got a whole archive section to run thru.  Cone-lady is an all-time fave of mine.

Yeah, cone-lady is absolutely top three.   It was one of the few threads that I would specifically jump to when coming on line, and I'd be bummed if there weren't updates.

Kade's rant in 'Ryche thread is great. :lol

My personal favourite thread might've been the mouse one. That's probably the hardest I've laughed because of DTF.

Photoshop Don, all the posts.

I was bored at work last week so I looked up some old Photoshop threads. My god, they're so funny. Too bad the hotlinking doesn't quite work nowadays, so many of the pics doesn't show up.

I don't remember which NHL thread it was, but after a particularly heartbreaking St. Louis Blues playoff exit, Gary made a post which was photos of him flipping off every page of his Blues calendar. It is, to this day, the most epic playoff elimination reaction I have ever seen or heard.

IIRC, it was the 2015, maybe 2014 thread.  I went back within the last 12 months looking for it, and (sadly) as is the case with a lot of embedded pictures, the post is there, but not the picks.

Lots of good ones.

I remember people doing photoshops of me in various settings.  That was fun.

Jackie's post about the nerd fight, or something.  That was some funny shit.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Edit: Oh, the post from bosk1 about the return of Indi's memories thread that channeled the introduction to Lord of the Rings. I laughed at that one for a week.
