11. A Show Of Hands

A fair spread of votes across the whole lot, which I did not initially expect. I would have guessed that a lot of the votes would have gone towards the 21st century releases, but maybe that'll change now that ASOH is out!

As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

ASOH was the only easy choice...but I honestly love all the rest of these for different reasons.

ESL will probably always be my favorite because it was my first love. And “Side 3” (BB/Trees/Xanadu) is one of the greatest sides of live music in classic rock history. And that version of YYZ slays the original.

ATWAS will always be a classic.

Love SAAL because it was a fantastic comeback album for them and they pulled a daring move by playing so much new material.

RIR is probably the most energetic of the newer ones. That crowd is electric.

R30 was a great tour with some neat gems dusted off.

The PERFECT performance of the Fear trilogy alone makes GUP worth its weight in gold.

R40 is too emotional to vote for this early.

CA with the orchestra is just incredible

I guess Time Machine is probably the weakest performance of what’s left...but I still love it.
