I just listened to the first song on Dead Heart, and the guitar is simply tuned too low for me to enjoy it.

Interesting, that tuning range is the sweet spot for me.  Have you heard their 90s albums?  Those aren't nearly as downtuned.

I actually own This Godless Endevour, though I couldn't tell you the first thing about it.


I saw Warrel Dane on Santuary's first tour back in 1988.

My personal favourite is Dreaming Neon Black, but I enjoy everything Nevermore.

TGE is their masterpiece IMO, but it took a LONG time to grown on me.  Besides Born, Final Product, My Acid Words, Lydia and the title track, the rest took so many listens to get me to take to them.

Virtually at the beginning of the fall semester of '05 my MP3 player went kaput, so for the next couple months until I could afford a replacement I had to go back to my portable discman around campus.  The vast majority of the time I just went back and forth between that album and Ghost Reveries
