All correct. Whenever we finish up hangman or I just complete it, I can post first impressions if people are interested, and then we should be in good shape to get round 1 results either Saturday or Sunday night.

Did someone say first impressions??

1:   This has elements of what I dislike about [insert genre], but it might be musically adventurous enough to make up for it (Puppies_On_Acid, Negură Bunget)
2:   Nothing technically wrong or bad, but it's leaving me kind of cold (Evermind, iamthemorning)
3:   Thank you bean (Sacul, Refused)
4:   I really like the harsh sections (Cyril/ariich, Actor | Observer)
5:   Did Jari finally get that studio built? (TAC, Euphoreon)
6:   Great music, mush production (wolfking, In Flames)
7:   pretty weird  (Buddyhunter1, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum)
8:   The clean vocal melodies seem lacking (Cyril/ariich, Actor | Observer)
9:   Pretty much every part of this is working for me (Tomislav95, Arcane Roots)
10:   I love a lot of the music but the vocal lines feel uninspired (HOF, Fernando Perdomo)
11:   Vocals really let down some pretty groovy music (Stadler, KISS)
12:   This is a strange mix of styles that melds together really well (Luoto, Astronoid)
13:   Energetic and pretty varied (romdrums, 22)
14:   Beautiful (The Walrus, Enya)
15:   Björk fronting a metal band? (Elite, Brutus)

15:   Björk fronting a metal band?

Haha, I can see that now. Could be a couple others of those too though.

Yours is indeed among those numbers.

7?

7 it is.

15:   Björk fronting a metal band?

Haha, I can see that now. Could be a couple others of those too though.

This one is not yours, but I'm amused by the idea that there are several submission in this roulette that could be mistaken for a Björk-fronted metal band.

Not saying all are equally likely, but any of these could be.   I would bet on 1, 2, or 11.  Outside shot of 13.

Totally. I've only heard his new album that came out in March but it's very nice music.

I don't know about Jari as a person, but I think he's a great vocalist and guitarist and I like a lot of the music he makes.

8 is also yours/Rich's, although I will say again that these are only first impressions.

Not this time. Honestly I thought yours was pretty obvious, but maybe I'm just hearing things.  :lol

OK all impressions are now revealed, and results should be coming sometime tonight, in local shadow ninja time.

Also a note on scoring: since I've decided to eschew decimals and since it's basically unheard of for someone to send me a song I actively dislike, I'm going to be using the scoring scale more liberally. So some of these scores may appear pretty vicious on first glance, but they're really not. For instance, a 5 in most other roulettes would be brutal, but here a 5 is just something I like aspects of but am not crazy about the whole thing.

ALL THAT TO SAY don't worry if your submission gets a low score, because there's much less difference between a 6 and 9 than you might think and it should be easy to recover (or do the opposite of recover).
