Ok looks like hangman has kind of died out, so I'll just go ahead and reveal all the submissions. I've been a bit busy today which probably pushes the results timeline back to Sunday instead of Saturday, but I might manage them by Saturday night. We'll have to wait and see.

Of all the submissions I've heard this round, yours is one of them.

I'm at the top of the list because I'm #1 :coolio (6/10 again)

It is possible that a 6 will the top score, I suppose....

I'll put in a word with the boss and see if we can make that happen.

My internet has been down all day so there's no telling when I'll actually be able to continue listening, but in the meantime and by dint of some witchcraft, I have procured first impressions.

1:   I don't listen to anything like this but I really like it
2:   To be honest I don't have any strong feelings about this
3:   Seems like it would be right up my alley
4:   Riffs are good, vocals are there
5:   At times a bit chaotic but the quieter moments are really nice
6:   Heavy, but not as heavy as I expected
7:   The harsh vocals aren't really working for me (wolfking, Omnium Gatherum)
8:   I would play this video game (Buddyhunter1, Anamanaguchi)
9:   Part of this strongly reminds me of another band I really like (Cyril, Mithras)
10:   This avoids the shortcomings of [tributary genre]
11:   Interesting stylistically but not as much musically (TAC, Tribulation)
12:   Hogarth?  (HOF, Talk Talk)
13:   This should be my kind of thing but it's not doing much for me
14:   I could see how the vocal style might be a turn off but it's working for me
15:   Great guitar work

Seems most likely it's one of these. Let's start optimistic and go with either 1 or 3.

Good news, it is not yours.

None of the above! Yours is actually pretty non-obvious, now that I think about it.

Updated with correct guesses. Also, my internet has returned, so I should be able to listen through submissions tonight, and again tomorrow while I'm doing the writeups, hopefully getting results out sometime tomorrow night.

Well, these are only first impressions. There's always room for songs to grow on me. In fact, that's already happened several times on this round, although I won't say which submissions they were.
