Wow! Very close, Rich; not 'rigged' but 'wicked'; not 'crest' but 'quest.'

I'll post the full thing here in a sec, because it's close enough. Good jerb, folks  :tup :tup

Impressions to come, um... whenever I finish listening to the last batches. 5.5 hours of music  :lol I've been taking a different approach this time, replaying one group multiple times before moving on to the next, but I'll run through them and see what the first impressions are since hangman is over.

Those... are definitely much better titles. :lol

That's a cool idea. I think I'll always prefer to do all first listens together if I can (unless some people are running a bit late) so first impressions are on an equal basis, but I might try the batches idea too. Maybe not for the regular rounds in my current roulette, but definitely for the EPs (as I'll have a lot to take in), and possibly for future roulettes.

King Puppies and the Acid Guppies

Some fantastic music in this round.

Also I read that Vince Gill song as smile Lane like 3 times before I realized that is not the name of the song.....

please play this game. it's incredible

The Walrus

I do feel bad I haven't bought it yet. Next time the bug bites to play my Switch, I'll grab it. I have no excuse, the developer made Jumper which are omfg great games

Crow

tbh i recommend it on PC because it just feels better to play on keyboard. it really requires 8-directional precision that most joysticks don't give (if you have a gamecube controller for your switch then that should be fine? those ridges mean everything)

it's probably the best platformer i've ever played by itself but it's also beautiful graphically and musically with a great core message and aside from like, a few eeHHH levels and a few other screens in levels i'm not particularly fond of it's about as close to perfect as you can reasonably expect any game to get

it can be brutally hard though but that's part of the fun for me  :lol the main campaign is generally not too bad except towards the end but the optional content is all way harder (and hella fun tbh)

If I can play it with the D-pad on the pro controller I should be fine, yeah? I don't feel like using my PC atm, in fact it's not even hooked up currently. I'm used to Matt Makes Games's difficulty - those Jumper games and Dim are absolutely ridiculous at times - and the videos I've seen look like I'd probably acclimate really fast. It was on sale for $10 recently and I just don't know why I didn't grab it lmao ayyyy

Buddyhunter1

I beat all of the B and C sides with the Joy-Con's analog stick, you'll be fine

Crow

i mean, you can absolutely beat them with the stick it'll just be more annoying

and i don't trust the tiny baby d-pad on the switch controller lol i dunno

The Walrus

Holy SHIT this round is strong

Ya'll are really gonna make me sweat writing up the results this time

Buddyhunter1

Crow

when the sequel is the best in the entire franchise and then every subsequent entry is just trying to reclaim the glory of that one entry

(i actually already sent all my entries so that basically means i have no intent of trying to recreate what was already successful though, haha)

The Walrus

Cyril gets 8.1 for every round in every roulette for the rest of time

This is the way

Crow

when the scoring metric goes from 7.8 to 9.2 then it's roughly a 2.1/10, actually

Ah there's Ulver, should have got that sooner.

All the Love
England
It Is Not Sound
Southern Gothic
Nowhere/Catastrophe

Great selection, could be lots of people here.

Doing Ulver within 20 minutes was very hard to do :lol There were a bunch of tracks I wanted to have in there as well and this doesn't even really contain my own favourites, but fitting in longer tracks was a little impossible without showcasing the different sides this group has.

On a related note, I just got my dad's vinyl and cd collection from his widow, and I've been going through some of that.  My Dad was a huge Toto fan, so he's got a lot of their stuff on both CD and vinyl.  The title track from Fahrenheit is pure 80's fire!  I was also reminded of just how good The Seventh One is.  Side One of that record is solid!  I never really listened to the post-Jeff Porcaro stuff all that much, so I'm looking forward to taking the deep dive there.
