romdrums also sent my first track, didn't he?

EDIT: and I really hope his 3rd track is Naima. It didn't fit on my selection.
EDIT 2: Just to be sure; my second track doesn't need everything in between the brackets. Despite the album name, this particular track is actually not a 'live' recording (though it probably was recorded in one go in the studio).
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

That's an interesting selection of Depeche Mode songs.

I was going for new millennia songs with a demented edge to them. It's my favorite flavor of DM...I sure hope Katt likes it as much as I do.  I'm not holding out too much hope though.  :lol

One of The Fixx tracks is One Thing Leads to Another, which is a great song.

The songs I sent are relatively lead-free, I think. There definitely are some songs particularly off of End Of An Empire that would likely be considered too metal-focused for this roulette though.

Will update with E shortly! But first: one of the Jaco Pastorius songs is a song I've known since I was a kid, but it's the 1979 cover by Manhattan Transfer with lyrics, not the original. COOL!!

That would be Weather Report's Birdland, and I also see Weather Report's Teen Town in there as well.

When this roulette is over I'm going to post a massive list of artists - not just from this roulette, but all my roulettes - that I want to explore further. I will not be running another roulette until I have sufficiently cleared that list. Effectively this is gonna be my last roulette for a very long time :lol :lol ya'll have given me enough music to last me the next 10 years already
I have a master spreadsheet of everything I've been sent in roulettes to keep track of things I've finished checking out more than what I was sent (e.g. a full album when it was songs or collections of songs, or at least one other album when I was sent an album), and which ones I'm not inclined to do so. So all the gaps are the ones I think I want to check out more but haven't yet done so.

I recently added my first two roulettes from years ago, and what's interesting is that I went on to explore almost everything from my first roulette, but very little from my second. I guess something came along and I lost focus on that, and indeed didn't do a roulette for years after that. So after I've finished on my v6 exploring, I think I'm going to go right back to my v2 to see what I missed.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

That's pretty much what I'm doing as well. Although the roulette from last year had over 320 songs on its own, so that's going to be a doozy to go through. Thankfully my first roulette (albums) is going to be the easiest, since I know pretty much where I stand on most of those artists and I know what I want to get back to and what's a miss.

After each roulette I've made a rym list with the albums my fav roulette songs came from, so I checked out everything that got at last a 4/5, a few 3.5/5 as well.

Also goddamnit trainy I was planning to send Massive Attack :lol . Remaining song is Dissolved Girl.

EDIT: And it's very interesting two people have sent Coltrane :corn :corn :corn

I too have a spreadsheet of all submissions, and albums subsequently purchased. Do what I did boys, a top (1)50 5read of your faves.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

^ I've actually been thinking about doing a 'top songs introduced by roulettes' thing in the future.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

Yeah I think I mentioned in my thread that I was thinking about doing something like that, inspired in part by your one Chad. I'm not sure I'd try a "top x" thread as ranking everything would be impossible, but I think I'd work through each roulette and talk a bit about the albums or artists who have really stuck with me.
