I did not send either of these Eric Johnson entries, but I had sent one ahead for another round. I decided to pull it since we’ve already had two now. My list was quite different (only one overlapping song with the other two lists) and I think avoided any of EJ’s more rock or progressive moments. He has a pretty diverse catalog and plays in a number of non-rock styles. I had a feeling someone else might send him.

Eric Johnson is quite eligible. He's not banned, never has been, and was never sent in another roulette of mine, surprisingly (as far as I can remember). I was actually hoping for a long time someone would send some of his stuff...

I'm skipping impressions this round because I am just swamped with work this week. Comparisons are coming though.  Instead of impressions, here are some... impressions about the round in general... Better than round 3, not as good as round 2 - probably on par with round 1, overall. There are only a few artists I'm not really feeling, but nothing I outright dislike... I think?

There are certain players finding themselves locked into certain score trajectories. That's fine. There is a trend developing with stuff that's really out there scoring higher than the safer stuff. Not always true, but I mean, that's the fundamental spirit of the roulette showing, so... it is what it is
