Jordan Blum examines Dream Theater's astonishing output (and the behind-the-scenes circumstances), in order to explore how DT distinctively impacted the Progressive genre with each its landmark releases.
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now?
Scott, is Jordan Blum known to the rest of us? Between GDT, Voices UK, and DTF, have I run into him?

Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.
Will this book have comments and thoughts by the band members, or this merely a fan giving his opinion on all of the songs (like we do on this forum all the time)?
Why is there a picture of just one band member on the cover? And 4 out of 14 album covers? I don't want to rag on a book that just gets announced, but that cover is very underwhelming.
I wonder if that will include all non-album tracks, too.
Sadly, it seems we will be left wondering what the real backstory is to "Mike Thinks He's Dee Dee Ramone Introducing A Song Song"

Hi, Jordan, thanks for the insight on the book and welcome to the board.
Hey Jordan, welcome to DTF. We met briefly at ProgStock during a DTF dinner that friday night. I didn't stick around for the weekend but saw you on facebook afterwards. Anyway, had no idea you were working on a DT book, that's pretty cool!

Are we friends on Facebook?
Don't try to BS her about Kevin Moore facts, she will obscure quote you in the face.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.
Not sure if anyone else here ordered this, but I just received mine over the weekend, and although I haven't started reading it yet, it looks pretty cool.
