Love the look on James' face when JM was talking about his broken finger.

JM:"It's just one big song" :lol

Just finished. Wow that was great. Not sure I've ever seen an interview with JM and James together. Seems they have a great rapport.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

Cool Chris

My first thought was "Have I ever seen just the two of them give an interview?"

And is that indeed Noxon?
Maybe the grass is greener on the other side because you're not over there fucking it up.

It was a cool live chat, thanks... Noxon?
I think the interesting information was (correct me if I'm wrong, my english isn't that good):
James is recording an acoustic album with Paul Logue (from Eden's Curse);
Live DVD/BD release in november (likely);
A virtual listening party at some point. I understood that it would be some kind of a live (recorded) streaming that everyone is doing now;
James said, at the end of the chat, if I understood right, something like "we'll come with a new album and tour". It seemed to me that the DoT/ Scenes tour won't be back again.

Sadly, DoT/SFAM is done due to scheduling and it'll be too late and won't really make sense.

That is indeed me. Damn this microphone. It worked fine just before the thing.

Glad it still was okay. I tried to make it as interactive as possible.

We'll definitely be doing more of these in the coming weeks.

Very cool to have this opportunity to do a Q&A. Thanks for doing this. Looking forward to see more, maybe with Mike/John/Jordan as well?

I'm also looking forward to this! I love Eden's Curse last 3 albums and Logue was their main songwriter.

So, the show in Glasgow in February which I attended could turn out to have been the last ever full performance of SFAM.

Too late for what though?
All my natural instincts are begging me to stop
But somehow I carry on, heading for the top
A physical absurdity, a tremendous mental game
Helping me understand exactly who I am

Shame they split up, their last album especially was brilliant.

Thanks for summing things up! I haven't been able to watch it yet (I definitely will), so this helps a lot, specially the bolded.

I expected the live album to be released a bit earlier considering it was recorded in February, but as long as we get it this year, there's no complaints on my end :metal

I thought they rescheduled the Australian dates for November? or those are confirmed to be cancelled too? I obviously don't think it's too safe to play the shows, but IIRC they weren't cancelled (yet).

As for the new album they could start writing and recording remotely and we could get it earlier next year, hopefully.

I joined the Petrucci Q&A a little late, so I had to wait for it to be over to watch it from the start, but it was great! He said some very interesting things, like the fact that they DO have plans to release the Budokan 2017 show, they just don't know when or how, but it's in the cards :metal

EDIT: Again, thanks Noxon for doing this :hefdaddy

Mladen

Yep, that was cool. Good job, Noxon!

Great job Noxon! Thanks for doing this!  :metal
