I think it works. All of their art are kinda like that: Natural, organic, and symbolic. Also if the album is about environment, why not put it there?

Well, aren't all of their songs about it? :P You catch my drift. They've had that theme for a while and it has been pretty clear, I don't think they need it on every cover, but it doesn't bother me. Just thought it was a bit funny.

Well my point is if they keep talking about it, the album needs to express that.

It's alright. I've been a casual fan of the band for a while (been enjoying them, but not loving them to death) so maybe the new album will change that.

I think it's a pretty fantastic cover. I don't really care if it took 5 minutes or 5 days to make a cover, as long as it fits the music. Based on Gojira's sound (unless this album is going to be a major change) it looks like it'll work for me.

Saying Gojira is only all about the environment is well...incorrect. The messages in their music range more along the lines of human spirituality, existence and how that relates to the natural world around us.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

I really like how simple the artwork is. They don't need a lot to get the point across. Some bands just work best that way. Then again I've only heard one song from them. And after hearing the heaviest matter of the universe, I like them. Where should I start in their discography?

I agree, The Way of All Flesh is a good way to start, it's a great album.

Their latest (The Way Of All Flesh) is their best, IMO.

From Mars To Sirius would also be a good place to start.  Heaviest Matter... is off that album.

From Mars to Sirus is pretty widely regarded as their best album.

Those two and The Link are all good enough I can understand anyone holding any of them as their favorite. I'm just telling the new fan what would probably be his best bet.

Terra Incognita is the album that got me into Gojira. It's a unique as fuck album. Then again, so are the other three. Fuck it, just listen to Gojira.

I'm having my first listen through of From Mars to Sirius. Gojira definitely has a very distinct sound, which sets them apart from most heavy metal bands. Its almost like... part industrial, very aggressive, but also groovy. Very interesting combination; I would definitely like to see them live

Funny enough, I used Gojira for a french project as well. We had to do a project on french culture and one of the spots was "french artists". Convinced my teacher to let me use Gojira, and when we set up our project in the gym with everyone elses, I brought in some speakers and blasted Gojira on shuffle throughout the period. Man, senior year was pretty awesome.

no words can explain the feeling right now
Jesus Christ himself* comes down amidst a choir of 2 billion angels singing Handel's Hallelujah chorus. As KrotchRaut shred randomly on guitars made of dragon bones using picks made from God's kidney stones, Jesus heals a blind woman who promptly gives birth onstage to a creation of pure light.

*Yes, Jesus Christ himself. Nothing less will do.
