The Carpathian Summit was one of my favorite records of 2019, but I find it works best heard from start to finish, in full. Curious to read Rich's thoughts on two separate batches of its songs.

FINALLY!   Something that clicked.  I’d heard a few Andromeda tracks a long time ago, and they showed up on a compilation album I have from somewhere, so I knew they were kinda keyboard heavy in their sound.  The keyboard/guitar unisons and duels were magnificent.  This is the kind of Prog-metal that these ears were made for - complex, but not too much of a wank-fest.  Vocally, I wasn't wow'd, but it fit well with the music.  Good 2nd choice - I don't think Oceans of Slumber would have fared well at all.

Easy really... Rich has rated II, IV, and PG.  So, that limited the album selections. I tried to stay away from the blues-rock influenced songs, and went a little bit off the reservation. I was also staying away from the 10+ minute songs that were available (Achilles, Carouselambra)

Plus, all 3 sit in my Top 20 of Zeppelin songs.

I didn't bother to check the albums he rated, so that explains a shit-ton right there.   I would immediately go to about four songs off PG, and at least two off II, so there you go.  Good picks, though; I meant what I said about "good curious".

I haven't listened to those albums for years, but I recall there were for sure some good songs across them, just not enough on any one album. PG was the one I remember finding most interesting though, but still at 3.5 stars.

I enjoy people trying to screw each other over, but I also can't help but admire the complete apathy, with not giving a shit the clear winner of the poll. So I am minded to increase the artist limit to 5, unless anyone can provide a particularly convincing objection.

But the big takeaway from the poll is that 3 people in this roulette find Cyril attractive.
