There's dancing and dancing.

Day 6 - A song that makes you want to dance

That makes ME want to dance?

Pretty much nothing, but...back in the day...a lot of quasi-glam metal stuff, but the first song that came to mind was Van Halen's Dance the Night Away.

Steven Wilson - Permanating

I mean this tone of this song along with the music video of him playing the song with Bollywood dancers around him.  It has an infectious feeling to it that makes me want to dance.

I'll add one more.  This song from a Japanese band.  Bump of Chicken - 新世界 (translated to New World).  It even has the phrase, "Baby, I love you dancing."

Maybe an awkward submission in terms of dance-ability, but Violent Femmes - Blister in the Sun.

I will be 44 years old in June, I have 2 kids, straight, and whiter than a sheet. And I love to dance.

The only thing that ever makes me want to dance is just the right amount of alcohol and even that only does it very rarely  :lol
For some reason the following came to mind though:

Agony/Agatha - Reuben

You and me might disagree, 'cause I like rhythm and blues
Now I'm not missin' disco, I'm not saying punk is bunk
I can't settle for heavy metal, 'cause I got to have that funk.....

'What I Like About You' - The Romantics
'Rock It (Prime Jive)' - Queen

because 'punk-ish' music was the only thing I could dance to (namely, hopping up and down)

Another one...

Rock Lobster by the B-52's.

Sometime in 1989 or 1990, some friends of mine and I drove down to spend the day in Tijuana, Mexico.  I think it was 3 guys and 3 girls, and none of us were couples.  We ended up at some rooftop bar with a dance floor.  I swear we were there for 4-5 hours, and one of the girls spent pretty much the entire time on the dance floor.  And it felt like Rock Lobster got played about every 30 minutes.

When I was in my 20s one of my regular weekend haunts was a club that had an 80s dance floor. I was there often enough, and the DJ was predictable enough, that I not only knew all the songs they would play, but the sequence of many of them. Rock Lobster was a nightly song, I knew about what part of the night it would be played, and planned my piss break around it.

Radar Love - Golden Earring.

You took mine.

Also, Close to the Edge by Yes.  In 92 or 93, my friend and I took a road trip up the California coast, and at some point between Monterey and Santa Cruz, we put CTTE in, and we both were air drumming/using parts of the dashboard and steering wheel as drums.
