It’s a full album, but Tony and Jordan only guest on a few tracks. The interview explains, but Nick was putting together the album and those guys were already coming in to Sweetwater as part of a series of masterclasses/recording workshops, so they used some of his songs for the classes.

I’ve already pre-ordered, but that cover was waaay cooler than I anticipated. I guess I’ve probably heard the Beatles version at some point or the other, but wasn’t all that familiar with it. This sounds really great.

Got my signed copy of the CD in today from the official NDV store. I love the included drum gear booklet! Neat to see all of the different kits he used on the album!

Talk about service. I ordered a copy today from his webstore and 4 minutes later I got a shipping notice with a tracking number. Just wow!

I've had the chance to listen to this a couple of times now, and I gotta say, it's some primo NDV music! Pretty much what I expected, if not a bit better. I started hearing and recognizing motifs across the album upon my second listen, so I know I'll probably pick up on more things as I listen to it more!

Anyone else get a chance to listen to this yet?

USPS has been absolutely terrible the last few months with my CD purchases. Stuff that normally took 3-5 days from my usual sellers are now taking 14-21 days in a lot of cases. I live 60 miles from Chicago and a CD will reach the city and then take another 10 days to get to me. That is normally a 1 day, 2 day tops, trip for them. I had one CD that I ordered from a seller on eBay that bounced up and down the East Coast for almost 2 weeks before finally heading West. Even the seller was perplexed. That one took almost 4 weeks.

They are off their game.

Yeah, I’ve gotten a couple things from Amazon in regular time lately, so it seemed like the mail was getting back to normal after everyone was mail ordering everything a few months back. But there probably is still a high volume of mail right now. I’ve got a couple things I ordered from the UK at the end of May that still haven’t shown up yet, but I expected those to take awhile.

Spun the disc last night and I must say, I am very impressed. The record is a collection of strong songs, very nicely constructed. Reminded me of the old 60-70s records with a very modern take. NDV's voice is phenomenal. The string arrangements are well done. The background vocals are magical, they just add this spacey dimension to it without interfering at all. Production is top notch as well. Definitely not a rocking album, but it well done and deserves a deep listen with 100% attention. Right now my favorite is Where's the Passion.

Agreed. I've been living with this album almost 2 months, and I can't stop listening to it. Every song is really well constructed and the melodies are simply beautiful. I will said it again, this is my AOTY

Amazon frequently gets these types of releases later than they are first available on band websites/official shops. It’s available now at Nick’s website and Burning Shed at least.

Finally got it. Have to say, it’s not quite what I was hoping for. Laboring through it on my first listen, but I may just not be in the right headspace for this right now.
