Considering the wait and the massive trolling that's a over a decade long I thought it would have been cool if they just dropped a new album out of nowhere without a word. Kinda do a Radiohead, just put it out one day and say "here, enjoy".

If they let absolutely nothing leak until the 30th of August that would be awesome. How about going to the shops and buying the cd without hearing a fucking thing on the day. The good old days. Fucking awesome.

I guess I'm a bit old school because I still decide to stay in the dark with new albums and I never listen to any singles or teasers before I get a chance to listen to the album the whole way through. I guess for some people they can't resist listening if they know a single has dropped but for me there's so much other music to keep me busy in the meantime that I can stay oblivious if I want. It's kind of a shame though, feels today like some bands drop half the album as "singles" before the album releases and then there's really no "fresh" experience left.

Maynard’s gonna be on the Joe Rogan podcast tomorrow and apparently he’s gonna talk about some “long awaited news”.

Too bad the JRE isn’t live anymore and they release it later in the day. I’m looking forward to it. Always an interesting guy to hear talk

No, he hasn’t been live since April/May. Since YouTube has been cracking down on copyrights, and some channels have been taken down without warning, he doesn’t stream live anymore. I first noticed it when a recent Eddie Bravo episode, Eddie was talking about Russia, Joe cut him off to go to the bathroom, episode cuts back to them talking about carbonated water. I looked into it and people said Joe was worried about copyright strikes. Thus, no more live streams

Yeah, Joe hasn't really discussed the reasoning in great detail, but has made comments basically saying that YouTube is cracking down really hard on pretty much everything. If you notice, they don't show any videos or hardly ever play audio anymore on the podcast, if the guys in the studio are watching something, they don't show it. Jamie used to do an overlay.

I also heard that YouTube wasn't giving credit for views during live streams when it came to monetizing the video. So for someone like Joe who would typically get like 50,000 views on live streams, done several times a week - over the course of a year, that's a ton of views that YouTube basically isn't recognizing when paying out for videos on his channel.

Interested to hear the podcast with Maynard, he's a cool interview regardless of whether or not he's got some ground breaking news.

That is worth getting on cd. The artwork is neat wth the 3D glasses as the eyes to see the inner artwork in 3D.
