Yeah, Joe hasn't really discussed the reasoning in great detail, but has made comments basically saying that YouTube is cracking down really hard on pretty much everything. If you notice, they don't show any videos or hardly ever play audio anymore on the podcast, if the guys in the studio are watching something, they don't show it. Jamie used to do an overlay.
I also heard that YouTube wasn't giving credit for views during live streams when it came to monetizing the video. So for someone like Joe who would typically get like 50,000 views on live streams, done several times a week - over the course of a year, that's a ton of views that YouTube basically isn't recognizing when paying out for videos on his channel.
