I guess my view is that it's an unwritten rule... like touching another man's BBQ, or banging your best friend's sister.  My belief is that the point of roulette's is to expose the host to as much new music as possible.  I do my best to stay away from bands they already know / are aware of - even if not explicitly banned in the rules.

So I just saw the debate. I was talking with Jingle's sister yesterday as we helped ourselves to my neighbor's grill while he was inside, and we decided that it's really up to the host to say yay or nay. 

I sent two, and one of mine will be on the line, no doubt, but in terms of the theme... I think it was a good pick, especially considering the second one I sent is the roulette equivalent of a three-quarter court heave as the buzzer blows.
