Here we are, at the beginning of the end of the band's 3rd Sector, their Synth Era. This album was definitely the culmination of the band's experimentation with synths and trigger sounds, as well as their first ever guest-vocalist in Time Stand Still. This was also their longest album to date, with 10 songs and over 50 minutes long. Some might argue that this album could stand to lose a couple of songs given its length, and I wouldn't disagree.

I know Tai Shan gets a lot of hate, but I actually like it.

I wouldn't be bothered by that.  Neither will last more than a few rounds.

Best Rush album...7 of the songs on here could easily be winners imo. Tai Shan is pretty stupid though

I'm a Rush fan. You're a Rush fan, We're all Rush fans here. I think many of us feel this way. If there IS a tie in the first round for both of these songs, then yes, I will give them both 9th Place tie, and we will move on to the 2nd round with the other 8 songs.

I've posted this before, but when I was growing up, one of my two best friends and I shared a lot of musical tastes, but he wasn't nearly as much of a Rush fan as I was.  I remember playing HYF for him and, when it finally ended, he said that it sucked.  After GUP and PoW, I desperately wanted to like HYF, but I could only muster a half-hearted retort to him, which caused him to say, "you wouldn't even like this if it weren't Rush."  That kinda stopped me cold because, while I didn't admit it at the time, I knew he was right.

This album started growing on me, like, eight years after I've first heard it. 

Turn The Page might be a controversial choice, but it's actually my least favorite of the bunch.
