The IQ Cup - Quarter-Finals

Thankfully, songs cannot catch diseases, so The IQ Cup continues! Eight songs remain, and they have been drawn as follows:

The Great Spirit Way vs The Seventh House
Further Away vs The Road of Bones
Frequency vs Harvest of Souls
The Province vs Until the End

Voting is open for 48 hours. Tied matches will go to a 24-hour tiebreaker vote. Please check your ballots carefully before voting.

PS. I want to clarify something that hopefully won't be needed, but it's good to clarify just so the rules are established. If a tied match ends up going to the "combined votes" tiebreakers, any votes cast for a song in a Tiebreaker round will not count towards that. So all the songs will have an equal number of rounds from which their votes will be added. Obviously right now that would only apply to Harvest of Souls, as it's the only song that's been in a Tiebreaker vote.

Yeah, against a song that, tbh, I've really struggled with. There's at least 3 other songs on Ever that I'd put above Further Away.

Unless our 7th voter shows up in the next 12 hours or so, we're going to another tiebreaker. Again involving HoS.

One of the things that surprised me in the group stage was how one-sided a lot of the later "Top 2" matchups were. I kinda thought they'd be close, given how both songs had usually won all their matchups prior to that one.

If it helps...

Harvest of Souls is my least favorite epic by IQ, and I honestly regretted my decision to vote for it almost immediately. If I had to do it again, I would definitely change it and vote Frequency.

Yeah it's my least favorite as well, though I think it has the best intro of pretty much any IQ song. Peter's vocals are just so pristine there.
