Yea, awesome dude. Not at all a shocking death, and a great career.

RIP Dude. Enjoy the chess game.

Yes, the chess game (and so many other parts including 'The Exorcist') but as a Queen fan, I've always delighted in this one

And the perfect person to have played the 3 Eyed Raven.

What a voice
...going along with Dragon Attack's Queen thread has been like taking a free class in Queen knowledge. Where else are you gonna find info like that?!

Indeed.  My introduction to the genius of Von Sydow.

RIP
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Not someone I would put in the "legend" category, but any actor should and would be proud to have 1/5 of his career.

Was thinking... I don't know much about him as a person and haven't heard many comments from his fellow actors as an individual, but I cannot recall anyone ever saying anything bad about him. Which, in that industry, really means something.

OMG!  Did not hear this!  I have always loved him as an actor, but he held a special place in my heart seeing we have the same (Rare) last name.  Rest in Peace, Max.

I don't watch many movies, so I think I've only seen him in Star Wars and Game of Thrones. Should probably rectify that. He was really something, I can't believe he was 85 already when he played the Three-Eyed Raven!

The list of his work is extremely impressive!  I think the first time I saw him was when "The Exorcist" came out back in '73.

I watched Three Days of the Condor last night (excellent movie), and was pleasantly surprised to see Max with a pretty big role in it. And a great role, as a fairly conscientious hitman with an interesting sense of professional ethics. I love it when I stumble across the recently deceased in a movie I wasn't expecting them in. Same thing happened with Robert Forster, recently. It's just a nice way to appreciate them.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.
