JM saying that his custom Bongo will be on the market in the near future has me hyped. If it comes to fruition, that would be an instant buy for me.

Yeah, that part was cool, but I am most interested in his 12 string with extra extra extra jumbo frets in Vantablack.  That finish! Man you couldn't hardly see it.

I own a Bongo 5 HH and it's one of the best sounding basses I've ever played. I'm no bassist myself (I'm a studio owner/producer) but I can definitely enjoy a nice Music Man bass. The 6 string on a 5 string neck is a brilliant idea and I would love to try it whenever it comes out.

I’m a 6 string player myself. My main gigging bass is an Ibanez GSR206. It sounds great but isn’t always the most comfortable bass to play, even though it has the thinnest neck profile of any 6 string bass on the market right now. I played a Bongo 5 HS in Guitar Center a few months ago and fell in love with it. I didn’t buy it because I didn’t have the money for it at the time and it broke my heart to have to walk away from it, but if the JM style Bongo goes on the market, it would make the decision to not buy the five worth it, allowing me to stick with a 6 string and be able to play comfortably.
