The geniuses behind 'The League of Gentlemen and 'Psychoville' Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton write as well as star in every episode (24 and counting). Like Black Mirror it's a British anthology show however where Black Mirror tends to focus on technology, Inside No 9 favors Macabre with a dose of Black Humour, the episodes are quite small in scope generally focused in one location.
Like all Anthology shows, the quality can vary - but there are no outright stinkers here, even the weakest episode is a decent enough watch. But when the show is good there is some absolutely amazing TV. "The Riddle of the Sphinx" in particular is a majestic 30 minutes of TV.
Can't recommend it enough!
