Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this.

If his first solo album is any indication, this is going to be a good one!

I was extremely impressed with this guy when I saw The Neal Morse Band live, I'll check this out eventually. And my parents, who gave me the tickets and also went to said concert, without knowing any NM material, were also talking about this guy in particular.

I hope future NM albums feature the same writing process as The Grand Experiment, as the band effort definately added to make all musicians shine.

It's nothing like the NMB.

I know. I have checked some of it out on YT before.  I didn't think it would sound like Neal's typical sound anyway.

So far, so good. I've listened a handful of times in the last week, including at the gym here and there.  Damage Is Done and Empty are my early favorites.

Eric put out a new EP a couple of days ago.

This is not what you would expect from him but it shows how versatile of a player he is.

The Great Unknown is a fantastic album in my opinion.  There are some great epics on here and we'll written songs. A great balance of shredding and melodic phrasing, and the production is top notch too.  It's a pretty addicting after a few listens.
The song "Empty" is hauntingly beautiful, yet emotionally heavy. It's about turning your life around from a dark place no matter what your past was.   Incredible song though!
 I highly recommend this album..

Sounds like background music to anti-depressant commercials... or a Scientology recruitment video.
