As I expected, I am in the minority with FII. Even though Octavarium is a good album, I find myself revisiting FII a lot more frequently than Octavarium.

I'm sorry but distance over time is just boring to me lol I dunno. It's a fine enough 7ish/10 but the best SC songs are way better than anything in DoT but I guess one of them still has that new car smell so w/e

I'd say that Six Degrees was helped by the fact that it has only 6 tracks (it's easier to have 6 strong tracks than 9 strong stracks), while SFAM obviously got dragged down by Regression and Through My Words.

Absolutely, this wasn't a perfect means of seeding the albums, but I wanted them to reflect the 35 weeks of voting to some capacity.

Of course! it was not a critic, just a reflection on the nature of the albums and I agree it's only fair to seed the albums according to the actual results of the regular season.

Octavarium is my favourite DT album, so..

Sad to see Black Clouds getting kicked out already. I love that album but I can't in good conscience vote for it when it's up against Metropolis 2.

Awake and When Dream & Day Unite are so different and I think the latter is extremely strong, but I had to go for Awake.

Hard to compare Train Of Thought to The Astonishing. The band's earlier albums have a nostalgic bonus point for me though, so I went with Train Of Thought. Same reason I seem to be like the only one voting for Systematic Chaos. Feel sorry for The Astonishing though. It might have been more fair to compare it to Six Degrees, because at least the second half has a similar ring to it.

Dramatic Turn is in general a stronger album than DT12, in almost every aspect.
