Blind Guardian - Imaginations From the Other Side

How could I forget this!
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

Iron Maiden - A Matter of Life and Death in 2006

This crushed me missing this. It was in a small college arena. We were away on vacation for this show.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

What albums have you seen performed live in full, a) from start to finish, and b) over the course of a whole concert, but not straight through?  Not covers, but by the original band/artist (or one of them as a solo act or something like that).

Does Roger Waters - The Wall count?.

Yes.

I saw Boston play all of Third Stage in 1987. The played NINE shows at the Worcester Centrum.

Dang, that had to have been pretty sweet. While not as great as their first two albums, it is still a really good album, and would be neat to see.

Fuck, how did I forget BTBAM - Colors?

It's interesting how 6/8 of the full-album shows I've seen are from the same two bands.

Probably missing one or two, but don't think I've been to many of those. Believe this is all:

Start to finish
Rivers of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name
Katatonia - Night is the New Day
Poly-Math - Melencolia

Over the course of a whole concert, but not straight through
The Ocean - Phanerozoic I (if you don't count The Carboniverous Rainforest Collapse interlude)

people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Ugh; I have to go back and look for completeness, but...

For Sure:  (I'm with TAC: this is a new sort of phenomenon, and the bulk of my shows are before that)
Neal Morse Band - Similitude Of A Dream
Dream Theater - The Astonishing
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
Extreme - Pornograffiti

Probably:
The Firm - The Firm
Cinderella - Night Songs
Yes - Close To The Edge

I'm sure there are other albums from opening acts and what not that are "complete", as well as albums that I've seen all the songs over multiple shows.

This is actually not too difficult, if you catch a band multiple times. Especially on the same tour.

Oh crap, I forgot to mention The Astonishing in my OP.

There's probably a good reason for that!  I wish I could forget having spent money to see it.

I'm sure I'm missing something, I'll edit if it comes up.

You are - Mystery / Lies and Butterflies.

Off the top of my head:

DT - The Astonishing, SFAM, I&W.
Rush - Moving Pictures
Transatlantic - Kaleidoscope (ProgNation at Sea)
Mystery - Lies & Butterflies
IQ - Ever
Neal Morse Band - Similitude of a Dream
Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness
Fates Warning - Awaken the Guardian

I'm probably forgetting something too - like piecing together a Rush album or something.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad

Start to finish
Fates Warning - A Pleasant Shade of Gray
Dream Theater - Scenes from a Memory
Neal Morse - Testimony
Dream Theater - When Dream and Day Unite
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime II
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
Transatlantic - The Whirlwind
Rush - Moving Pictures
Dream Theater - The Astonishing

Over the course of a whole concert, but not straight through
Dream Theater - Images and Words (in 1993 - didn't get to see them in 2017)
Queensryche - Promised Land
Dream Theater - Train of Thought
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet (not a typo - saw 2 shows in SoCal back-to-back - one they did the album front to back, the other, they played all the songs but interspersed with older stuff)
Flying Colors - Flying Colors
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

Yes - Close to the Edge (7/12/13)

Yes - Going for the One (7/12/13)

I've seen quite a few courtesy of ProgPower

Start to finish
(at ProgPower)
Angra - Holy Land
Angra - Omni
Blind Guardian - Imaginations from the Other Side
Evergrey - In Search of Truth
Fates Warning - Awaken the Guardian
Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness
Haken - Visions
Jon Olivia's Pain - Streets
Labyrinth - Return to Heaven Denied
Pagan's Mind - Celestial Entrance
Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane
Royal Hunt - Paradox
Seventh Wonder - Mercy Falls
Stratovarius - Visions
Voyager - I Am the Revolution

(Outside ProgPower)
Dream Theater - The Astonishing
Dream Theater - Images and Words
Dream Theater - Scenes from a Memory
Iron Maiden - A Matter of Life and Death
Katatonia - Night is the New Day  :heart
Operation Mindcrime - Operation Mindcrime
Rush - Moving Pictures
Bruce Springsteen - The River
Threshold - Legends of the Shires

Almost the full album:
Need - Orvam (did all except for Hotel Oniro, an interlude-ish track)

Out of order:
Candlebox - Candlebox
Dream Theater - Train of Thought
Flying Colors - Flying Colors (wouldn't have remembered to include them without seeing Setlist Scotty's post)

There might be bands I've seen with just one album out where they did the whole thing and I didn't realize it, but I think this is a pretty complete list otherwise.

I had forgotten that they played the whole thing on that tour.

Saw A.C.T in Gothenburg yesterday and they played all of Rebirth (EP) but not in order....
Tre of the 5 songs were played for the first time ever live. Saw them in May in Stockholm where they only played 2 songs of Rebirth.
