I plan on doing one or two a day. Once the bands are revealed, I will post the Story/Playlist for each player. That is my plan.
Once you get to posting mine, I will post a link to the file I sent you, since that is how it's supposed to be listened, with the minor edits I made for flow.

OK,  I'm heading out for a few hours. Buddy's turn tonight!

I present Faizoff's submission. I'll try and not say too much, but for a guy playing his first roulette, he's done an impressive job, considering the roulette he decided to join. :lol

Chew on his album today! The playlist link is in the title.

Vietnam [Warsong]

The Private

“I got the call one summer night
He said you’re on tomorrow’s flight”

The distant helicopter rotor sounds drew closer and closer, transporting an incoming squad of just-graduated cadets. Brooding over the looming missions into the damp uncertain hellish forests west of the Da Nang base, Pvt. Baker Shepherd remembered the call that brought him to Vietnam. He had just celebrated his 18th birthday the night before.

The Shepherd family was no stranger to the armed forces, yet Baker’s mother and sister were crushed with the news of his deployment. His father said ”I’m proud of you“ with reticent pride that his youngest son would continue to uphold a long held family tradition of serving the country.

“What are we fighting for?”

Baker’s older brother was currently serving on a tour near Saigon [“He ain’t coming home”] while his grandfather died in World War II fighting on the beaches of Normandy. There was hesitation and fear in some corner of his mind at the news of his deployment.

“They tell me there’s an enemy
Insanity is drawing near”

Charlie company was tasked with scouting Viet Cong Guerilla activity in the village nearby and Baker was part of the newest unit that joined the mission. The unyielding orders came fast and his flinching unprepared hands were numb to the massacre he witnessed.

Germany [Primo Victoria, Territory]

The Captain

The memory of Vietnam was beginning to fade as Cpt. Baker Shepherd sat examining the small tattered notebook that lay on the coffee table at his parent’s home. The notebook belonged to his grandfather and had recently been recovered by the German authorities and returned to the Shepherd house.

“Through the gates of Hell, as we make our way to Heaven”

His grandfather, stationed at Omaha Beach, wrote about the powerful briefing given by the platoon leader before the mission at Normandy on D-Day.  “Our orders were easy - it's "kill or be killed!" The allies were searching for that first victory and the training had reached an enormous scale. Nazi lines were difficult to breach and allied Commanders were getting desperate. “Aim for Heaven, serve through Hell” it was written.

“Dictator's speech, Blasting off your life”

Cpt. Baker thought about the power of words one man could have to influence an entire population to conquer vast territories of the Earth. Would propaganda and anger be enough to control the choices of the masses by this sphere of authority and then command the annihilation of your perceived enemies? What chance did a legion of allied soldiers have when fighting such a force? What hope was there against an army such as the Japanese soldiers that would fight till death or suicide to ensure maximum retribution?

Japan [God of War]

For the allies, that answer came in August 1945 by way of ‘Enola Gay’ and ‘Bockscar’ which brought about…

Blinding light
Instant incineration
Black rain
Searing flesh
Pain
…Victory!

The Middle East [The Simple Man, Too Many Puppies]

The General

Operation Desert Storm was on the cusp of conclusion in the Gulf but the job didn’t end with its completion, there was still a need for U.S. military presence at a defensive strategic level in the region. At a base located one hour south east of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, GEN. Baker Shepherd was there to congratulate and honor the soldiers on completion of a successful military operation and guide them on the work that lay ahead.

“I'm a simple man
 I follow God's own plan”

Baker had climbed ranks quite rapidly in the army, becoming “a Shepherd with second sight, seeing as it was the only life he’d known”. He was up on stage in the full auditorium looking into the eyes of every soldier’s soul [“I’ll preach tonight, the few words of light”]. “Peace to all men is the dream I wish to bring…” was a quote the general’s brother had mentioned to him a few lifetimes ago and now Garett, the older deceased Shepherd, would appear on the faces sitting across the room.

“Too many puppies are being shot in the dark”

The general continued “There was work still to be done, [“Blood that must be spilled”] we need to be steadfast in our resolve to stay in the region, [“so that we may maintain our oil fields”] to ensure we bring peace and freedom [“on the command of men wearing money belts”] to family back home.” The general had been thinking of Garett more recently. ["The visions of the past brought to life again"]

The United Nations, New York [Fields of Rape, Travelin’ Soldier]

The Ambassador

“There is danger in the fields of rape
Not too far from where you walk”

The massive General Assembly Hall went to recess and delegates would return to vote on ‘Resolution A/RES/87/198: Recognition of deadly after effects from mustard gas’. The last speech before closing was from U.S. delegate Lauren Bancroft, who gave a passionate discourse accompanied with a powerful visual on the effect the gas had on lives across continents [“There is crying on the African soil and life is hard to keep”] and young adults. [“There's children behind an iron gate hiding swollen eyes”]

Gen. Baker Shepherd watched the impassioned presentation from a room on the 3rd floor behind a darkened glass panel in the giant hall. His presence in the Headquarters of PeaceTM building did not originate in any official capacity, he was there to meet with the Ambassador on a personal note.

“Never gonna hold the hand of another guy
Waiting for the love of a travelin' soldier”

Ms. Bancroft had recently authored a book called “The Traveling Soldier”, which showcased a collection of letters and various other correspondence that soldiers on deployment sent back home to their spouses and family. The collection of artifacts in the book ranged from “letters of a soldier coming home, list of locals that died” to photos and journals, it was a piece of weeping painful history at every turn of the page.

One chapter in particular about a lieutenant’s letters and a photo which “came from an army camp in California then Vietnam” intrigued the general and made him get in touch with Ms. Bancroft to find out more about this traveling soldier. The soldier wrote letters "to a girl with a bow in her hair", he said "I close my eyes, and see your pretty smile, don't worry but I won't be able to write for a while".

The Lt. in the picture had a striking resemblance to his brother and the letters were all signed with the initials G.S.

Vietnam [Goodnight Saigon]

Lieutenant Garett Shepherd

“Remember Charlie, remember Baker
They left their childhood on every acre”

Lt. Garett Shepherd had heard of the half-truths half-lies regarding an assault on a village in south Vietnam and gotten word of a Pvt. Baker Shepherd that may have been deployed there. Garett wasn’t sure if it was indeed his younger brother and if he was part of Charlie company and “who was wrong? Who was right? It didn't matter in the thick of the fight”.

Garett and his unit had bonded like brothers at training camp [“on Parris Island”] and on patrol as they “passed the hash pipe and played their Doors tapes” while deep in the jungles the crickets kept chirping everywhere. His unit extra vigilant as the Viet Cong were “sharp as knives and heard the hum of our motors, they counted the rotors and waited for us to arrive”, “and it was dark, so dark at night and they held on to each other like brother to brother” as Garett and his unit stepped into the trap… and they

“Would all go down together”

As Garett lay motionless, his last thoughts drifted in flashes of his childhood, his sister, his mother, younger brother Baker and the girl with the bow in a booth in a café he would no longer be able to write to.

The sounds of the chirping crickets faded and the helicopter rotors went further and farther until they could be heard no more.

This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

I plan on doing one or two a day. Once the bands are revealed, I will post the Story/Playlist for each player. That is my plan.
Once you get to posting mine, I will post a link to the file I sent you, since that is how it's supposed to be listened, with the minor edits I made for flow.

Will the link in the PM still work? I pretty much just plan on reposting the PM's so it will be included.
I sent you an amended PM that you can repost when the time comes. And I believe the link will still work.

Hey Stadler, your PM inbox is full.
Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.
