oh, Massive Attack & Sara Bareilles & Bjork will be romdrums then. I think if Imogen Heap is there I have an idea of what he's doing.

You do? Because I don't. :lol

 :lol

I should send you some of my rough drafts for this round.

I will post my first draft once evaluations are up, I think it would've easily have scored the least in this round  ;D

I sent a Devy song

Ghost Love Score is dope but I imagine TAC will utterly hate the majority of it which is why I chose a few of the more accessible and heavy Nightwishywashy tracks

I did a mix of catchy songs that I felt only a female could really do justice (or brought something to; that's the Garbage and Joan Jett) then a couple songs that were just flat out amazing vocal performances that oh, by the way, happened to be a woman (Concrete Blonde, Heart, Nightwish).

None of you took up my hint though. I'm disappointed.  ;)

Mine are all hard rock/metal with amazing singers. I very much saw this as an opportunity to introduce Tim to some artists who stylistically would hopefully be up his alley, just with female singers, which seemed to be the whole rationale for having this round in the first place.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.
I be am boner inducing.

Religion round is tearing me a new one. I have a couple themes and ideas but stylistically it's jarring as all get out. One theme is all mythological and deity-themed, the other directly addresses religion from a human perspective. Hm. Think I'm gonna wait to see how Arch Enemy does before I commit to harsh vox  :lol

I'm struggling more with the emotion round.  Specifically, is an "emotion" a "one word" thing?  Or a general feeling that isn't just one word?

For my emotion EP, I just took random songs and put the ending of Day 20: Confrontation on all of them so that it ties into the theme

Hope you like remembering emotions, TAC

I picked a specific feeling & crafted a sort of narrative related to it, with all the songs still tying into the theme somewhat.

Of course they're mostly in a style I doubt TAC will like but it's all in good fun, he can't hate it more than an all female vox round anyways

Yeah emotion is the next one. I have that almost done and the final one was done but might have to rethink some of it based on round 1 feedback.

Halfway done through religion round.

I've been getting through them at a nice clip partially because I make several EPs for each round and slowly whittle down my final submission from those.

OK, time for my first listen impressions.

"Wow, I'm not going to lie. Parts of this were really bad."

"I liked most of this. One song nearly lost me, but you brought me back with an amazing track."

"I liked this a lot. You've hit the spot with a lot of this."

"The first half of this EP was so awesome. Then WTF happened?"

"Wow, I'm not going to lie. Parts of this were really bad."

"This EP needs some trimming. Lots of tasty hard rock but I find a lot of it generic. It ends pretty strong though."

"The EP title is appropriate. These bands sounded a lot alike on first listen"

"Wow, I'm not going to lie. Parts of this were really bad."

"Half of this EP is excellent, and half is really good."

"Wow, I'm not going to lie. Parts of this were really bad."

"Even though we always don't connect, it's always interesting. This
EP follows suit. It needs some more listens."

"Nothing really jumped out at me on this. I think you'll be disappointed in the score."

"A little uneven, but there's some decent stuff here."

"Wow, that was really interesting. I can't wait to listen to it again. Lots to chew on here."

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

6.5/10

5.0/10

The worst song last round got a 6.0. I think there'll be a few 5.0's. There were a few excellent EPs sent, so the range will be much greater in this round.

Not gonna lie, that gif makes me wanna hurl.

I'm going to buck the trend, and try and stake claim to a positive one.  Let's see if I can go 2-for-2

"Half of this EP is excellent, and half is really good."
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

My trick here is that I already know the scores for one of my songs and I selected that one as the double points song  :corn

If my EP bombs I'm still gonna get at least a halfway decent score out of it

If my EP scores well and Winter ends up bringing my average down (very unlikely) it sounds like I'll still be miles ahead of the rest of the crowd given those impressions  :lol

I'm gonna tank round 3 anyways, so

If I had to guess I bet this is mine:

The first half of this EP was so awesome. Then WTF happened?

Concrete Blonde is Bill
Probably Cranberries too.. if not him, hen faizoff.
Halestrom - Kade.

Arch Enemy - ariich

I thought you knew me Chad.

Well, you said you didn't have jack squat for chick singers, so I thought maybe you had to default to the quasi-commercial bands.  I can't really guess to many of the other bands, cuz I don't fucking recognize most of them.  Seeing as how your list is blank, apparently NOBODY knows you.   :lol

Arch Enemy ... apparently me and Kade.
Mayhap you sent Heavy Devy too?
Is Cranberries Sacul then?

Wait, you sent Arch Enemy??
