Sorry I missed the sign up for this as it sounds fun, but I’ve got a bit too much life (or it’s oppos) going on at the moment.

I will certainly follow along though.

I really like that Tim goes out of the way to reminds us which kind of roulette we are in! My PM went like that:

Quote
*a few lines of explanation*

first song
second song
third song
fourth song [this song should be evaluated twice]

Total length and link

Then I've got a PM from Tim where he asks me which song he should double score. :lol

I usually dread EP rounds but I think this one would have been more laid back without worrying much about flow and stuff, until the last one anyway.  Since I didn't see this thread until page 3 however, I don't think I'd have had the time to keep up. But I'll follow along. :)

Lethean was preparing to send Katatonia

Maybe I'll make up for his absence in this one

Katatonia would be pretty great for this theme or for emotion theme I suppose, although I think Tim got like three Katatonia songs last time? Might be wrong on that one.

I was considering them for the seasons theme because they're a very 'fall' band for me - the only time I really listen to them - but then I run into the problem of determining whether I should send a song because it reminds me of autumn, or whether I should send songs that are explicitly about the season. meh

I think "reminds me of a season" theme could work great, I considered leading with Anathema because Weather Systems always reminds me of spring.

Katatonia could be used for either fall or winter.

I sent New Night, Day and then the Shade, and Ghost of the Sun, just so no one tempted to use them has to look it up. :)

I initially read this as "Weather Systems is a fail record to me!" which would definitely be a hot take.

ANNOUNCEMENT

So no one worries about bands being sent, you make your EP how you want it. Don't worry if you think someone may have used a band on you.

I already have duplication on bands and I'm fine if even the same songs are sent. It'll make it easier on me as I'll have to grade less songs! :lol
