Yeah I'm curious if you actually disliked Shake It Out or not, although I can think of a few reasons why you wouldn't like it, but I am hoping for the best.

No, I didn't dislike it all that much. I mean, I didn't love it as a song, but I couldn't do a Best/Worst list without um.. a worst song.

Picking a least favorite out of a list doesn't necessarily mean I didn't like it.

Though there's a handful of songs listed that I did not like. :lol

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

So here's what I ended up doing with the Bonus Points for the Finals. The competition was so freaking tough for these, it was an excutiating decision. I reached out to Chad offline just to vent, but he basically just laughed at me. :lol

I knew right off that two people were getting Bonus Points. The thing is, everyone deserved them.

Do I give out the two, and give half points to 6 people? But If I going to award the majority, I might as well just give everyone one. I didn't do that.

I ended up giving TWO additional Bonus Points this round. It was too tough to decide. That also meant a RIDICULOUSLY HARD decision on two people not getting them, and a tough decision on the rest.

I am also likely to do something I personally hate doing, and that is I am likely to do partial Results tonight. And no, it it"s not for drama or suspense. It's just that I found out my wife is taking tomorrow off, so she'll be here when I get home, meaning I may not have as much time tomorrow afternoon as I thought.  ::)

I just have formatting of the posts to do, and I'd like to release a few tonight.

Uh, what's really more important, us or your wife?

Mine:

First Listen Impressions:

"Thank you for sharing that with me. Musically it is what it is, but this was a special listen."

"I liked the story, and I can appreciate the inspiration for it, but I have to be honest. I was a bit disppointed by the songs."

"I really think your story and concept is excellent, and while I'm not sure you have the strongest batch of songs, they are still great vehicles for your vision."

Oh, and if Katt doesn't get one of the bonus points, we all agree to whack TAC in the back of the head like the Three Stooges, and the person that got it instead hands it over.   :)

(I'm joking; it's TAC's decision, and I can only imagine how hard it must be.)

Well, in these lists, sometimes a few songs get the same score, high or low, and I just pick one for the Best/Worst post.
This. And also, especially in this round the double-points song will only make a very small difference because we have so many songs!

Also:

Wolfking
Worst: Sepultura – Arise
Definitely not surprising. That was a bold choice, my man.

And yeah Katt, yours may not have a "plot" as such but the emotional resonance and narrative are really powerful and I'm pretty sure you're getting a bonus point. And even in the incredibly unlikely event that you weren't already getting one, you definitely will be now that we're all pressuring Tim. :P

It's a brilliant thrash classic.  Also Tim was sent Stronger Than Hate in his last roulette and he quite liked it.  I think it got an 8.5.  I thought he would like the thrashiness of it.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

It's an iconic tune for sure, I just don't see Sepultura being Tim's sort of thing. But what do I know, maybe this still scored high and you're cruising to victory!

The thing about Sepultura is that I find the vocals awful. Really bad.  And I’m not a fan of that razor thin guitar riffing. I’ve never been able to get into them.

God I love Sepultura.  For classic thrash, they beat Slayer and Megadeth.  Maybe on par with Metallica.

"Indiscipline sent this."

This was a great choice. Nice old school thrash. I've never gotten into Sepultura because of the vocals. But I may have to go back and give them a solid look. This is rifftastic.

Meh.  I just remembered this from the last roulette.  I guess that put me into a false sense of security in sending them.  This is a pretty positive statement.
