That was incredibly powerful.  I can't say I know exactly how you're feeling, but I think I have a much better understanding now.

Always here for you, bro.

Katt, so sorry to hear about your sister's loss. I can't wait to dive into your EP, I'm going to read your writeup and get the tissues ready.

First Listen Impressions:

"Thank you for sharing that with me. Musically it is what it is, but this was a special listen."

"Real interesting and gripping story, with a neat twist at the end."

"I liked the story, and I can appreciate the inspiration for it, but I have to be honest. I was a bit disppointed by the songs."

"I'm not sure I have ever been more moved by music as I was while listening to this."

"There's more fish in the sea!"

"Holy shit, I think you just blew my tympanic membrane."

"Really different, but pleasurable. I didn't expect that."

"This was simply incredible. A great bunch of songs, but also so supportive of the narrative. Really thought out, and it presents well."

"I really think your story and concept is excellent, and while I'm not sure you have the strongest batch of songs, they are still great vehicles for your vision."

"What an absolutely killer playlist of tunes."

"Fucking brilliant. I don't know else what to say."

"I liked how the story evolved and I loved the ending. I was reading along listening and I found it quite clever. Quite a journey."

"Really interesting story with the songs to support it. Songs are technical as hell. My ears are tired."

"I was laughing my ass off at that story. And not that you've sent bad music, because you haven't, but this is easily the best and most interesting music you've sent."

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

The second to last is kinda how I felt about yours too.  I really thought the music was awesome but had trouble with the amount of harsh vocals.

Mine is probably this:
"There's more fish in the sea!"

But I can hope for this:

"I'm not sure I have ever been more moved by music as I was while listening to this."

Yours is the latter. I think Stads is the former.  "Fucking brilliant" is Evermind's.

I forgot to mention, I'd also listened to Puppies'. Still gotta get to faizoff, Rich & Lethean
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

My double points song is best  :)

My double points song is best  :)

Mine isn't, which means I haven't gotten one right the entire roulette. :)  But this time I'm glad about it.  I picked Age of Shadows because it had the smallest Jonas part, just in case. ;)

Well, in these lists, sometimes a few songs get the same score, high or low, and I just pick one for the Best/Worst post.

Yeah I'm curious if you actually disliked Shake It Out or not, although I can think of a few reasons why you wouldn't like it, but I am hoping for the best.

I predict Puppies, Ariich, Jingle, Cyril, and Evermind will get the bonus points.

You're daft man.  It's brutally obvious YOU are getting points. I suspect Evermind's is the 2nd one that's the no-brainer.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

I dunno. Everybody else had these gnarly big scope concepts with a shitload of effort put into them, mine's emotional sure but I can't imagine at least you and Evermind not getting them.

Kattelox, I totally think you're getting a bonus point.  And deserve to.

I think Evermind should too.

The rest is hard to say.

It's fine by me if more than one song is tied for the top spot.

This. And also, especially in this round the double-points song will only make a very small difference because we have so many songs!

Also:

Wolfking
Worst: Sepultura – Arise
Definitely not surprising. That was a bold choice, my man.

And yeah Katt, yours may not have a "plot" as such but the emotional resonance and narrative are really powerful and I'm pretty sure you're getting a bonus point. And even in the incredibly unlikely event that you weren't already getting one, you definitely will be now that we're all pressuring Tim. :P

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.
I be am boner inducing.
