Hangmanen when
not tonight
oh i said i would post album comments from stuff i listened to so let's
this album's kinda weird, it's somewhere between post-rock and ambient and rising sun (the first one i heard) isn't really that representative of the rest of this but i think that's for the better? it's fairly short so i'll at least relisten to it, i liked it
technically a relisten since like i said i listened to this before. it's. solid. the "bonus" tracks feels like the most generic & uninspired ones and i dunno why they're there and it is maybe a bit -core-y on the whole but it's the "sound" i like. we'll see if the songwriting lands with me though, i sort of suspect that's why i didn't get this originally
they seem more inclined towards guitar leads in general than a lot of similar folksy black metal bands & I think I prefer that? i did like this one too. another one that's also very succinct and snappy, basically just three long tracks and two interludes
mmm okay in an album's runtime these vocals start to wear on me and the metal on this album doesn't super impress me either, even if the lead guitar did seem pretty solid throughout. won't be revisiting, just not my style
man i tried with this one. but i just am not into it. i got a bit past halfway but didn't finish it, the first track was awful and the only song i listened to that i particularly liked was the one i already knew
nice sound overall on this album especially for a late night listen. i think the song you sent was the most interesting but this is a nice mood album, though it feels a bit overlong for the style, especially with the slow burn last few ending tracks
