"Go The Way You Go" has gone out, previously placing 17th in the 2016 Survivor (and not even making Finals in 2013 - it was 4th in the Consolation Rounds), so this is the furthest GTWYG has gone! It's wild to see that 3 of 4 songs from the band's debut have made the Top 8! It goes to show how strong the debut really is for the band.

Now we're down to the top seven, and things seem to be taking shape for the top 4, if we're going by the songs that DIDN'T get votes last round. These last few rounds will be quite exciting, and I wanna thank everyone that's participated along the way! Maybe if there is interest, I might bring back the Neal Morse Survivor, which I haven't done since 2015 (and the NMB has released TWO monster double albums since then, so there would be a lot of new songs to eliminate!).

Harm's Way

Even though I don't love Go the way you go as much as the rest of the album, it's great to have three songs from The Light in top 10.

Aw man, it looks like we may have another tie-breaker round on our hands. I have a long work-day tomorrow and won't be able to update until the evening, so the next round, be it a tie-breaker or Round 23, won't go up until at least 7 or 8pm. Where did our 8th voter go these last few rounds?

There's a song with only one vote. Maybe once the round is done the voter can come forward and move his vote in order to break the tie? I'm not trying to tell you how to do your survivor, but I can imagine you're a bit bummed about constant tiebreakers.

Yeah I could vote At the End of the day instead of The Light, just to save Harm's Way  They're both equally good anyway

This is why a League format is better than Survivor. One, you're voting positively, which song you like better. Two, tiebreakers are avoided until the final stages. Ties in a league stage mean both songs get 1 point each. One of the reasons why I decided I'd never run a survivor again is the frustration over ties.
