120 - v2 / lonestar / Kingcrow** / Right Before… shockingly, I wasn’t taken to this immediately.  Can’t remember what did push my further in to them, but Kingcrow f’n rules.
119 - v2 / wolfking / Mercenary / Through Our Darkest Days… vocally, a little too screamy /growlie for me to want to listen to them in bigger doses.  Musically, it’s all kind of
118 - v3 / Big Hath / Signal / Arms of a Stranger… lovely melodic rock.  Right in the wheelhouse of what I loved as a teenager.  The album is Frontiers level “solid”.
117 - v3 / Evermind / Temperance / The Fourth Season… excellent track, but upon further investigation, too much unnecessary growls, and the female lead was fairly mediocre.
116 - v4 / Puppies / Pallas / Ghostdancers… Super enjoyable track, haunting, and that chorus still sticks in my head. But what I hear is a poor man’s IQ, or Sieges Even.  Not a bad listen, but I just kept thinking ‘why am I not listening to IQ/Mystery/Enchant/Subsignal <or any number of other Progressive acts that I love>’

haha... I actually listened to the entire next batch, had my thing ready to go (even had it 'copied' and was coming in here to post it), then mrs.jingle woke up and it was time to get the days chores done.

Here ya'll go.  Double batch to make up for it.

115 - v3 / wolfking / Cans / Beyond the Gates… another one from Kades final submission that eeked him a victory.  Nice acoustic intro, before driving into a thunderous cracker of a tune.  Bit of a slower paced tune, but great guitar riffage here.  Chorus is catchy as fuck – in a good way.
114 - v3 / Zook / Bloodbound / Dominion 5… other than the fact that I now think Urban breed is a pretentious douche-waffle, this is a good song.
113 - v3 / Big Hath / Myrath** / Sour Sigh… got the whole discog from PPUSA merch room.  Awesome stuff.  I think I liked this tune better after I got ‘in’ to Myrath on the whole.
112 - v4 / Evermind / Mercenary / Redefine Me…. You called it my comrade.  I really like the grittiness of the vocals on this track.
111 - v4 / Stadler / Rainbow / Fire Dance… Not sure why I never got ‘in’ to Rainbow – in my teens.  The depth of the discography is probably what dissuades me now.  This heavily keyboard led track is not at all what I would’ve expected from Rainbow.  JLT kills it (naturally).



110 - v4 / Kattoelox / Wuthering Heights / The Desperate Poet…. Frantic paced, and Nils’ voice is right on point here.
109 - v3 / wolfking / Pink Cream 69 / No Way Out… love me anything with David Readman.  I really need a ‘best-of’ tracklist recc’n on them – 12 albums to go back digging thru is too overwhelming.
108 - v3 / TAC / Fastway* / Far Far From Home… the Zeppelin vibe is strong with this one.
107 - v1 / Ytse / Conception** / Under a Mourning Star.  Excellent track, but there something that just doesn’t entirely click for me with Conception, despite Roy’s excellence
106 - v2 / Bolsters / Big Big Train / Judas Unrepentant …. Just fun as hell.

In regards to Pink Cream 69, I’d just go with everything from Electrified but skipping Endangered - that one was crap.

I still think that Games People Play is the best PC69 record, it's the last one with Andi Deris.

I’m not a fan of Andy Deris at all. I saw PC69 back in the day supporting someone (possibly Yngwie ) when their first album came out. Didn’t do anything for me but my mate loved them.

105 / v1 / WPaPU¹ / Dio / Stand Up and Shout… Another classic metal act that was outside of my radar as a teenager.  I don’t ever remember any of my metal friends listening to Dio, or him getting any radio airtime.  Piss me the fuck off.
104 / v1 / Coz / Gary Moore / Still Got The Blues… same can be said here.  I mean, what the fuck?  Why did I never hear anything by Moore until I was 40?!?!?
103 / v3 / Lowdz / Abydos / Far Away From Heaven… Andy Kuntz on the vocals, delivering a terrific power ballad.  What’s not to love?
102 / v2 / TAC / Lost Horizon / Cry of a Restless Soul….. energetic as hell.  Fantastic Power Metal that is all the right amounts and kind of cheese.
101 / v2 / wolfking / Cloudscape** / Under Fire… Mike Anderson’s voice is pure gold for me.  Great track, and enough to make me dive into them full on.  Rock solid discography

I completely fell off Cloudscape before their fourth album was even in the works. I think their best stuff was on Crimson Skies. Shadowland and Psychic Imbalance are bangers
