9-29-2019 Canton, Ohio Show

Anyone planning on going?

If anyone is still considering and hasn't got tickets yet, it looks like a bunch got released and are on StubHub cheap. I just picked up center floor section, row L, almost dead center in the venue for like $17, including fees.

Be careful, from the Canton Palace Theater website:

"Ticket Purchasers Beware: Only tickets purchased through the Canton Palace Theatre Box Office will be honored.  Tickets purchased through 3rd party ticket resalers will not be honored."

If they are shipping a physical ticket, that might be different, but not sure there is enough time to receive them.

Can't wait for the concert, though!

Oh wow, that's interesting. UPS is delivering my physical ticket to my house tomorrow, so hopefully it'll be ok.

Oh good, if you will get a physical ticket, I'm sure it is fine then :)

Hopefully! That's why I felt ok about getting the ticket from StubHub. I know small, community-based theaters like this probably cant handle mobile tickets or anything but I figured since they were mailing the physical ticket, it would work out.

I'll be there.  I swear I chose mobile delivery, so I was shocked when I got the event reminder email last week and it said "your tickets are being mailed".  Saturday I got the "your tickets have been printed" email.  I got a little worried wondering when they would be sent out and how long it would take them to arrive.  But all is good now.  It came Monday.

DT USA is having a preshow meetup at Thorpe's. We are having a trivia contest with grand prizes, including a limited edited Distance Over Time orange vinyl.
Hope to see you there!

Canton show report -

I had never been to that venue before, the Canton Palace Theater. Really cool venue, pretty tight theater but nice.

The band kicked off right around 7:30. The first set was really cool. The D/T tunes translated really well live, ANTR and ITPOE were fantastic. The crowd got very hyped for the second act, SFAM was outstanding to see live. AWE was solid as an encore.

As a whole, the band sounded really good. All the guys seemed to be playing well. James was definitely struggling here and there, but in the room at those volumes, it was hard to tell how much so.

The mix was pretty good where I was, sometimes things were a little unbalanced, but overall it was a heavy, solid mix. Great show!
