I did joke with Jackie that I'd have the trio play all of 2112 but at half speed haha.

Nah, we did Closer to the Heart. Her dad organized it for a trio which was really cool.

Pending the results of my Federal Government exam (which I'm pretty confident I aced), I got all A's again this semester and brought my GPA back up to 3.9. I'm still pissed about the B I got last semester because it was a shitty professor, otherwise I'd have a 4.0.
Listen! Do you smell something?

Not so much today, but (taken from my post in the Jeopardy thread):

Soooo...I got a call last week from a number I didn't recognize, so I almost didn't answer but I did anyway.  And I'm glad I did.  It was a contestant coordinator from Jeopardy.  Nothing firm yet, but she did ask about my availability over the next 2-3 months and confirmed all my info.  Knocking on wood!

And I gotta start working on things like literature and modern pop culture.

In the early 90's I had tickets,1st row when the 1st base line meets the wall.  there was a foul ball and I had my buddy hold my feet.  The baseball bounced off my hand and I got boo'd. :lol

Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately), my prior game show appearance from about 20 years ago does not appear to be online anywhere.   :)

And yeah, I'm counting on Tim to educate me about 2010s pop and hip hop music.

My wife, who is a rabbi, is helping a young man prepare for his bar mitzvah and the kid seems to be struggling. He's a big Neil Gaiman fan, so my wife tweeted at him with 0 hopes and Neil asked her to DM him and then wrote a really lovely and decently long message for the kid to inspire him.

Just a really kind act that he didn't have to do. Thanks Neil!
That is INCREDIBLY cool.

2 things made me happy today

1. I finished paying off my car  :metal

2. This: https://apnews.com/article/richmond-virginia-united-states-government-state-and-politics-909fa32f1ab49af9357c8dc3f384032f
Putting aside the obvious reasons, this statue is right in the middle of a major intersection, and it’s a nightmare. It’s a nonsensical combination of a roundabout and a regular 4-way intersection. I see accidents happen all the time here. Glad to see it go away.

When I look at that picture it reminds me of my Colorforms when I was a kid, where you had all right facking people in a scene, but only had one left looking decal, and since you couldn't figure out where to put it, you just stuck it in the middle.
