Now that is romantic.

It was odd seeing all the people actually getting married in city hall. Like several couples in the same beautiful area taking pictures at the same time, trying hard not to see other couples in their pics. It was like watching people take selfies at the tower of Pisa or something. All trying to look like they’re the only ones pushing it over.

I'm sorry.

Why?

Why not?

I asked a girl to marry me. She said yes. I love her very much. We filed for a license. Sounds like a good reason to be happy. So I see no reason to be sorry.

Turned 27 today. That’s pretty great I guess. I like that number.

Spent the day with family and friends fishing on my uncle’s boat on the Rappahannock River near Deltaville, VA. Beautiful place. Caught a lot of fish, and even more sunburn. Had a great time.

Had dinner at Lehja, an Indian restaurant and maybe the best restaurant in all of Richmond. I told the waiter “surprise me” and they ended up making a dish called “Chicken Lazzatdar”, and my god was it delicious. The waiter explained that it was a dish that isn’t on the menu and historically was reserved for Kings. So tonight I literally ate like a king. Desert was a mango mousse topped with crushed pistachios and a fresh blueberries.

27 is off to a good start. That made me happy today.

I don’t post a ton about myself. Too busy disagreeing with Stadler. But I’ve probably typed Fiancée a bunch. That’s about it. Thanks! I appreciate it. :)

My most heartfelt congratulations!  Meeting you both was super awesome!  I wish you many many years of happiness!

I love their burgers. Not a fan? Honestly when I went to Texas I had Whataburger and it was better, but living in NY, Five Guys is my go to fast food burger.

I love Five Guys. Problem is - and I think someone else might weigh in on this - they are relatively speaking VERY expensive, at least up here.

Yeah, it's going to cost 16-20 bucks for a meal there. Which makes it a bit too expensive for a regular lunch, but it's still very good and I'll occasionally get it if I'm feeling in the mood.

I'll admit that I haven't had Five Guys in 5-6 years, but last I remember there was nothing special about them. A bit better than Shake Shack, sure, but that's about it.

I prefer BareBurger or SmashBurger.

At least in the UK they are a damn sight better than a lot of fast food burger chains. I won't say they are the best thing ever but they are a decent smash burger joint.
