Thank you Adami. Tim, it's called the guest room not the cat room. Lol

Two things from yesterday.....

One: it was my 3rd anniversary with my girlfriend.
Two: she bought me a Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini!!

My boss has been really good to me, so I am not ragging on him by any means. There was just one incident a while back where someone emailed the company on a Sunday evening about something (they sent it to the entire company so someone would see it), and because I did not see it and reply till first thing Monday, I got the thing about needing to check emails if they are paying for the phone.  I get it.  I didn't have an issue with it at all.  But, by not turning in my cell anymore, I don't have to worry about it anymore. I stress out about work enough already in general.  :lol :lol

This is why I never want a work phone. Sorry, but my family is more important to me than that to be checking work emails when I'm supposed to be home. There are busy periods and occasional late nights  like any job when something wild is going on, but as a regular matter of business I walk in at 8 and leave at 4:30 and don't look back. I'll walk out of this place the minute those expectations change on any more than a by-exception basis. Even if it meant taking a drastic paycut.

What on earth is a Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini? :lol

Guessing it's a guitar effects pedal.

Fuzz is a type of effect, what he mentioned is a guitar pedal.

Side note, this is still the funniest name I've seen for a pedal:

That is no doubt a beautiful man (Paul Goldschmidt, I assume), but I was thinking more this:

If you're inclined to think that way, the cardinal, a vibrant red bird, is an uplifting, happy sign that those we have lost will live forever, so long as we keep their memory alive in our hearts.

So today is a big day for me as I've crossed off a bucket list item. I bought a 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS!

I'm probably one of the bigger car guys on the forum so it's been my absolute dream to own a Porsche since I can remember. I had a deposit down for an allocation for a brand new GTS but it seemed unlikely I'd get one. I've never actually driven a GTS before so when the dealer who I had a deposit with said they had a used one I went to go take it for a drive.

After the encouraging words of my wife, "Buy this car so you fucking stop talking about it already", I pulled the trigger. I'm elated. I've never thought in my life I'd have the opportunity to own something like this.

Yea I'm pretty excited, so much so I've only taken a couple of photos. Excuse the messy garage:

Aside from the house it's easily the most expensive thing I've bought which is wild considering I shared a room with my brother all the way until I moved out and lived out of my car a few times in my life. The car was listed for $87k but after some negotiation I got it for $82k.

Just now...

Getting near the end of my route... In a step van (UPS style truck) with no AC... It's 95°... And customer met me at the curb and gave me an ice cold soda and bottle of water.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Verbally accepted a job offer back at a university after 6 awful months at a hospital. Was expecting a 10-15K pay cut cause of the setting, but ended up with less than a 4K cut. The job is an hour each way but luckily it’s by train so no driving stress. Still pretty happy about it!

Since you got such a good break in your career, I'll work with you.  Cut down some of the back and forth.  :) :) :) :)

Can you share the university (in PM if need be)?  Will you be able to take public transportation at least?
